Can I 'betray' to another Alliance?

Is it possible to 'betray' or move to another Alliance after you've leveled up a character?

I'd like to level up a lower level character in another Alliance to gather crafting materials and read the story. But later on I'd like him to fight with my main guild which is in a different Alliance.

I'm aware that I can do the other Alliance's content at level 50 but that won't be the same.

Or, even better than the constant "cash shop" mentality that MMOs both paying and non have adopted in recent years, maybe Zenimax can instead make that option part of a future expansion and have you quest your way through it.

Nope.

You live with your choices - if you pre-ordered the Standard or Imperial Edition, you can play any race in any faction, which can cover an RP "betrayal," etc.

I hope so...I made one of my alts in the AD....I thought it would be worhtwhile to check out the other alliances' questlines....I was wrong. It's the same questlines for all 3, just moreso involving the races that disgust me. If not, it's not a big deal....I quit running that toon at lvl 10. I couldn't take it anymore. I can easily reroll and get to the same point in the right alliance in a couple hours.
