268k people got to see a big eyed cat reveal

Yes, there is a cat. There is a dragon. There is a guy in the game we have seen before.
And...nothing else.
Apart from mobile game products. Which our Eso money is doubtless going to.
And the highly inflammatory statement about new servers to manage the demands on the game. When we can barely move without rubberbanding.
Zone is screaming RIOT.
Great marketing -make half a million people mad at once.

I hate to be that person, but 268k is little over a quarter of a million. So not exactly half a million

Also there was the announcement of the DLCs, sooo....that's something I suppose.

She's not even a big reveal, if you've played any of the Elsweyr content at all.

Honestly what did people expect? ZOS never reveals any significant information about new DLC/Chapters until close to launch, it has been that way for 5 years now.

It was a story cinematic. I dont see the problem here.

    Agree, the cinematic was well-done.

My money is on the OP was disappointed that they didn’t have the full patch notes ready for the next two DLCs ... when they are both still months before release. ;)

You are confusing people with screens.

268k screens were tuned in. There is no indication that actual people were involved.

What were you expecting? The biggest release of the ESO calendar year was six days ago. Unfortunate but true. They won't talk details about anything so far in the future, although I will acknowledge that knowing the Q4 DLC will give us South Elsweyr as a new zone somewhat assuages my own disappointment in the new chapter's paucity.

There were 268k in the channel alone. 60k in shrouds channel 30k in lyrics channel etc etc. Total channels streaming the show was well over half a million. I dont agree with his message though, not in the slightest. I think the show was fine.

Well I understand they are wanting to explore different games to get different types of people playing their products, because not everyone wants to play fantasy...

...but they really need to sort out this game 1st before, had a few friends leave due to the constant issues.

You don't speak for those people. I loved the show and stayed up late to watch it. We now have a path for the rest of the year and clues on what's coming beyond that. For watching this interesting show on a game I love playing I will also be awarded a mount and 5 crates. I really don't know what some people expect, do you just love complaining for the sake of it?

I watched too, but the only thing that grabbed my attention was the Japanese presentation of the game 'Ghost' something(sorry forget the full title). It did look interesting to me.

When they were presenting those mobile phone games I thought 'OH NO!!' trash games to make a quick profit. The way they were trying to pass these games of as something original was beyond belief. There was nothing to these games that had not been done before. I really hope this is not the way Bethesda is going.

Well, Your comment regarding our ESO money being used on the mobile games actually align's perfectly with the game's content getting worse with when this game entered development.
I found the "mount and crates" were a big bribe so that people would tune in to watch other products because the ESO product's were a complete joke, 2 DLC names and 1 CGI video, This was Pathetic.
The ESO Servers are awful, there's now queueing to get into servers, LFG is broken and the fix was ... "Reduce the size of the LFG system so that those who actual can queue get a game everyone else too bad keep spamming.

Their "fixes" to all these horrific issues are a complete joke.

Such events should be PC and Console only....
We live in 2019, where pink unicorns are vomitting rainbows and everyone and everything is equal.... therefore, let's make peace between "both" master races and fight against this mobile games plague.

Just BOOOO! the xyz out of mobile games  You like card games ? Nice, me too, but not with credit cards. Wouldn't like my children to start with such money grabbing gaming "guar-poo". Elder srolls morrowind/oblivion/skyrim on the other hand ... good memories, no rip-off.
ESO.... let's see where the crown crate journey goes  Right now it's no pay to win and ok.

What do you expect? Gameplay footage of necromancers doing the next DLC dungeons? We will get 2 new average dungeons, and a new zone with a quest line and probably a new arena later this year.
It's always the same, 2 dungeon DLCs, 1 chapter and 1 zone DLC once every year - no big things to announce, just a new environment - no new game mechanics, no new housing features. Keep those for the next chapter

That’s because most players didn’t even bother with the event haha

No one on any console had to watch it. And plenty already stated they weren’t going to.

Also if ur not active in the chat you no longer count towards the total, this was introduced to stop people afking in peoples channel to keep them high in popularity visually.

There were also several streamers who watched it on stream with their fan bases who held a lot of people aswell.

Then u gotta deduct anyone who doesn’t watch twitch reguardless. Who will find out this information from other players.

But people were already angry and presumed the worse before it went on and didn’t bother to attend which Ofcourse anything negative got amplified.

Actually, we also got to see Abner Tharn finally get off his butt and use some battle magic instead of just mouthing off about how good he was at it.

Uhm. You really do not know what Zenimax primary business is from getting money, do you? It's not gambling, or video games. It's suing companies. They have like won a half billion dollar lawsuit. I am sure Zenimax doesn't need ESO money to fund other games. It already does that from suing other companies that are not even related to ESO or TES. "Scrolls" for a Mahjon game anyone? And yet Bethesda/Zenimax uses sayings and words other games/movies/tv already do. How shameful.
Not my quote but I love this saying

    my takeaways:

"statement about new servers to manage the demands on the game"

I f-ing fell out of the chair laughing so hard. No BS.... on the floor...... the sheer audacity of dude to make that statement was some quality absurdist humor. even if it wasn't supposed to be, which for some reason I found even funnier

    'Dragons Dragons Dragons'

(non-eso) I wonder what having sisters in coop wolfenstien will do to sales? anybody have a final count on how many times German dude said 'Kill ***'s'? he looked like he was having a good time with it.

I went to bed about 45min in and didn't post in chat.. wonder if I'll get anything ?
