I have a new warden and a new necromancer in the Elswyer zone. The tooltip for my shalk on my level 9 warden has X amount of damage. When I cast it on an enemy (not including the debuff), it does roughly 40% damage more than X. On my Necromancer, on the similar pool of enemies (true for every enemy i've fought so far), my blastbones does roughly 40% less than the tooltip's damage in every occasion. My scythe ability does consistently higher damage than the tooltip, is a bigger aoe, has no ramp up time, heals, and is roughly the same cost as blastbones; why would I ever use blastbones over scythe?
I realize that blastbones is one of the highest damage dealing spells in our kit, which is sad for how lame it looks especially in fights with no movement (it stands up and falls down into a neat pile after exploding constantly), but when does this turn happen? It's kind of lame that the skill isn't worth using at all right now. Is this a bug?
I'm CP 40, so no, this isn't a penetration or resistance issue. This damage discrepancy was seen in the flame and disease damage morphs of blastbones.
