Xbox One External SSD

I have a day 1 Xbox one. Lately, I have noticed ESO takes much longer to load, render terrain and randomly cuts to load screens when I am on my mount. If I use rapids, I will hit a load screen every 45-60 seconds.

I am thinking about using an external SSD drive, but was wondering if anyone had insight on if this improves performance or not.

Thanks!!
