What was your most memorable instance of being screwed over by the game?

Was talking with a friend about some of the ridiculous stuff that has happened to us in game that just makes us laugh. Got me wondering what the best instance of this everyone else has encountered is. For me, it was when I was part of a vHoF progression team. We had been working on the Committee for weeks, and then, we got to the point where we were finally going to beat it. We had gotten to execute phase, killed the first two members of the Committee, and had the last member at 2 percent. We were in the middle of the room, away from all the perimeter damage, and the only person down was one dps. We were at a point that was impossible to screw up unless you tried to. And then, the server crashed and kicked all of us with 2 percent remaining on the last member of the Committee. When it came back up, we were all dead and had wiped. I don't think we could have timed that misfortune if we had tried. We were so incredibly pissed, but also laughing a little bit. We eventually cleared a few weeks later and got our vHoF clears, and now we all laugh looking back at that occurrence.

It's at least a 50% chance every time to fail, leaving me on the wrong bar and spamming the wrong ability.

Spooky ghost in vCoH2 fearing tank into the wall
Chain knock-ups in vFrostvault first boss so I basically got pingponged around until dead.
2% on bottom boss in vHRC, top wipes, bottom boss refuses to respawn. Try tp to player to try all going top, doors superbreak and don’t even let the first six in anymore.
Also in vHRC, bottom door closes and won’t let the 6th man in, who was the healer. Repeat above door superbreaking bug.
vAA left side adds in the second split reset on us no less than eight times no matter how fast when burned, no matter where we fought them, no matter which died first. I’m convinced that side is just permanently borked.
Last boss on a nSO run. Group enters final boss room, all but two people dc out of nowhere. Only six total make it back into the game. Announcement pops up that the server is shutting down for maintence in 15 minutes, cause of the massive crash I assume.
Nice side to that one, the six of us included a healer and the tank, so we banged out the final boss and got our loot just as the server bit the dust.Edited by Jhalin on June 9, 2019 6:40PM0 -
