Returning player and magicka dual wielding...

I remember back 4 years ago that was quite common to see magicka players to dual wield daggers only to have 2 enchants and more pieces of gear. (and the looks are also cool) :)
I know that now staff/bow/2h count as 2 for sets... but as for enchants, is still a viable/good option for magicka builds using only class/guilds abilities?
I am a little confused about it... i am playing a necromancer, and i hate stamina builds because how they force us to ignore 70% of class abilities, and heal (i hate vigor).

Your Spell Damage will be horrendous using stamina weapons, you cant heavy attack to restore magic, and enchants were just nerfed with recent Update, though i dont know the details. The only benefit you could get is the 6% damage done from dual swords.

Actually, there's now more stamina morph variants for all classes than just weapon and guild skills.

Magicka dual wielding is... More or less dead. They changed sustain a few years back and it effectively shut out builds that does not gain you back your primary offensive resource with light / heavy attacks.

Also, necromancer is a class that has the most stamina variants to their build and gameplay compared to all other classes.

Yes back with homestead two swords was meta for magplars and others.
Thing changed, LA is very important part of your rotation now they would be weak with swords.
You can also not HA, but that can be done back bar and is kind of an fallback now anyway.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I see a lot of people saying that... why exactly sta necros are better than mag necros? All i see is necros having a few sta morphs that prevent healing, but seems weaker to me than mags...

Spell damage is fine. All weapons increase spell damage.
The problem is light attack/heavy attack damage for PvE and resources get from heavy attack for PvP. Only heavy attacks with staves restore magicka.

@OP can get around that, then there are ways to use stamina weapons for PvP.
For example, you can run S&B both bars on magDK in PvP. Thats what i run. I know certain pvp players run 2H on magDK too. DW should also be possible.

Yes, i main a melee magblade (DW swords/Resto) and works pretty well for PvP. I can play my magblade like if she was a stamblade thanks to the stamina i get from heavy attacks + amber plasm.

Magicka dual wield is pretty much dead. The little benfits you get are completely overshadowed by all the major drawbacks now.

Stamina necromancer works better than magicka because magicka has a number of bugged/poorly designed skills and has major problems with it's big hitter - Blastbones. Since you can only summon the thing after the previous one dies and it has to go find the target pathing issues and inconsistency at range make it very ineffective. Stamina bypasses most of those problems by staying in melee range. Also stamina can fill up the holes in their build with weapon skills which are pretty decent. Magicka weapon skills are not as varied and are not as good to fill up the weaknesses of class toolkit.

Well actualy stam already out perform magicka and necromancer have been balanced around optimal usage of BB wich require to be in melee range.

DW on a MagDk ain’t so bad. Run poisons and off hand sharp for pen is ok. Flame staff is just better damage AND sustain. And SnB wings is great mitigation vs all the bowtard and tryhard sorcs popping up this patch.

DW ain’t dead but not the tip top VERY best option. IMO.
