Spriggan vs Sword-Singer

Hey guys, Stamblade PvPer with a dilemma.

The points been made about Onslaught ignoring resistances, hence why Spriggan is wasted in that regard, however. In terms of overall damage, would I be better off running Sword-Singer or Spriggan?

Currently using 5pc SoTA with 2pc Veli. The only 2hand abilities I use are Executioner and Onslaught, but if I had Sword-Singer surely the damage they’d deal would be off the charts no? On the other hand losing out on 3k+ pen from dropping Spriggan would hurt.

I need opinions.

    I say Sword Singer.

A few days ago i started to use Spriggans as a DW/Bow user and it is not worth it in a Cyrodiil CP campaign. Either you deal with glass cannons or tanks. On glass more penetration is a waste and on the tanks too. The result is to look for huge spike damage, probably critical too. Brute force for the win !! :) DD is not my primary bar and so i think i ll try Darkstride for the cheap mobility.

BG and no-CP might differ slightly, i dont play those and cant answer it. Try it yourself. Its cheap and doesnt has to be impen to test the damage.

You don't use rally on your stamblade? It also would benefit from Sword Singer, you also experimenting with critical rush over ambush. Another option ppl are looking into is the new "shield breaker". Senche's Bite also a good option if you can get behind the play style.

Why why SOTA? big chunk of your kit is Disease and poison damage. It is doing very little for you.

I do run Rally, didn’t realise SS benefitted Rally ticks.

Why SOTA? I run Ambush-Surprise Attack-Executioner-Onslaught in front bar, all of which are physical so no disease doesn’t make up a chunk of my dmg.

Penetration is never a waste in no cp or Cp pvp. Penetration is arguably the best stat in this tank meta right now.

Penetration = your opponent taking brute force with no means to mitigate it via resistance.

Don’t base your build around an ult. Spriggans is the best medium damage set in the game when you account for its 2-3-4 pieces.

It's solid. Case for singer already mentioned, but rally+2h ult+ carve is good reason to run it over spriggans. I wonder if singer buffs light/heavy off 2h? Needs a test, because soulshine buffs heavy attacks so it has precedence (my assumption is yes? But also no die to the wording)
