and no they are not forcing anyone in the crowd to applaud or cheer. people who pay money for convention tickets and then wait in line to be able to get into panels like that are genuinely excited enough to cheer all on their own.

Hmm, according to your link Pentecost is actually on the Sunday, although the Monday is a holiday in some countries and is also called Whit Monday (which was in my list, but I've never heard of it before).

I don't like how they are giving away old stuff for free that people had to spend money on. They should either provide those players with an alternative thing to look forward to or release new content for future events like these.

Yes this one could watch later on but then she doesn't get the pretty cat thing.

She could also leave on the magic box but Twitch has a nasty habit of setting this one to away so she does not get things - this one has lost out before because of that.

Also in the article they show a big picture of the twitch crate cub. That is not the giveaway mount and it might mislead a few travellers perhaps?

No offense here Santie, but Most of their Twitches have been in EU evening times which is the middle of the day for NA and makes them hard to catch for Americans who have jobs. This is refreshing!

Public holiday on monday here and in several other countries, great timing

I don't have that mount yet, and crates are always nice for a few extra gems.

08:30 AM ?(I'm assuming AM as they did not say PM) translates to 6:30am Mountain, and 05:30 for Pacific.

Also, why does console just need to login to the game anytime within an 8 hour window, and PC needs to actually watch the stream on a linked account? You are making the PC players jump thru more hoops in order to get this than you are the console players.

PC: Make a twitch account. Link it to the ESO account. Watch the livestream when I should be sleeping.
Console: Login to ESO.

As a PR item, I give this a thumbs down. It's an overall negative for me.

Same for me, although I do understand the frustration of the players that can't stay up to receive their prizes. Just because the E3 stream is at that hour doesn't mean there can't be another stream with rewards too. Although if they did that there would be cases of people getting 10 crates instead of 5. I'm not sure they want to give away that many crates and that many gems at once.

I really like that they'd do something like this, but I used crown gems it took me quite some time to collect to get this mount very recently (the last time it was available...) so needless to say, it is not the best feeling, especially since I had a hard time deciding between that and getting something else.

Is there really no alternative for those who have it?

I think some people are getting the wrong impression here. We understand that it is a US event in the US and we are not expecting them to schedule a US event to benefit those of us in Europe, that would be silly. We are just wondering if the EU players could have the option of logging in and killing something, like those on console. An 'either or' option would be brilliant for everyone, even those in the US who may not be able to watch. I'm not getting out of my pram over it, but to be fair if it was a European event dropping goodies (of which, I believe there are none), I'm sure the US players would want to be considered too.

It is an awkward time for me to be sure, but have kept myself from buying this particular mount each time it's come up...
even refused it when (since fired!) customer relations tried to give me one for free
because I really don't like the markings on the face...
but since I now have the cub they gave away last month well... it needs a mum then doesn't it *sigh*

Also between what times (UK) would people have to log in on a console and kill something to get these rewards/gifts?

It's 8:30 PM GMT-4 if I'm not mistaken. That would make it 0:30 AM June 10th in the UK.

The Twitch stream starts 1:30 a.m. on Monday for UK.

The broadcast is at 0:30 GMT, which is 1:30am BST on Monday 10 June (in the UK our clocks are currently on BST - British Summer Time)

Re console killing hours:
If you are on console, you can earn your rewards by logging into the game on Sunday, June 9, between 8:00PM BST and 4:00AM BST (Monday, June 10) and killing a single monster. You will receive your rewards by June 19

Again, if I were doing promotion for this announcement I would arrange a repeat stream with drops at more convenient hours for my European or pan-Asian customers. That way it looks like we vaguely care about them too.

This was a limited edition mount that some of us paid for... now it will be free to everyone, EXCEPT those that already paid for it, becuase they already have it. Little bit of a slap in the face to those who supported the store by buying it... but a double slap when everyone starts running around on it.

Can anyone else see the issue with this?

I am sure all those who don't already own it will be happy though, and I don't begrudge anyone for that

I just think its total bullcrap any of us have to waste time with a stupid twitch stream... ESPECIALLY if other players are allowed to just login, pew something, and get reward.

I hate the cheap tactic of forcing stream watching tied to any reward in any game. If people want to watch your streams, they can and they will. Stop trying to drive numbers up to make your egos feel better by 'forcing' people who don't give two craps about your stream to login and AFKout just to get the reward. Its just a remarkable circle jerk.

But then to turn around and allow everyone who isn't PC to only have to login and get the same thing? REALLY?!

WTH!

*Note: I'm not saying console users shouldn't get the same rewards. They should. I'm saying none of us should have to watch a stupid stream to get the rewards. Or all of us should have to do something else *not twitch related* to get the rewards. Or the option of either/or.*

But NOT "some of you having to spend an hour afk/out, at least tying up your system from doing anything else for that time and the rest you can login for three minutes and get the same thing" because /pressnumbers (?).

No. Its crap.

(Don't get me started on the chaotic graphic mess that is the twitch program. Talk about overcrowding a screen! Worse than 24hour news channels on election night! If I could use something else for WoW mods I wouldn't even have it on my system - as it is the ONLY thing I use it for.)
