Obviously this is on a target dummy so its more than halved on players

I also wish I had a masters bow to push this damage further I really need to farm that.

Doesn't Balorgh buffs the Onslaught hit as well? That's some nice extra damage you can get there.

The gambit is: Heavy Attack, Poison injection, Potion (speed/unstoppable), Ambush, Mass Hysteria, Cloak, Onslaught, Executioner.

You hope that the fear drops block and dodge long enough. I find that my ulti just not firing is more often than it getting dodged since the evasion changes.

just use Dizzy from cloak and then onslaught, also enables you to use Sword saint which gives more weapon dmg than automaton.

I tried it, though admittedly not going all the way. It crits for roughly 20k on players in my experience, but you should be able to boost that higher. Personally I found it boring after fighting a few matches using it.
If you build for the Onslaught gank you will 1-shot potatoes, 2-shot decent players, and not kill the PvP meta brigade at all since they will survive the gank then turn the tables and in a prolonged fight you are doomed. Also, the mere 800 or so stamina recovery means you have a lot of downtime even with meditate.
I'm currently using Onslaught but with Spriggan & Bone Pirate. Snipe into critical rush into Onslaught takes care of most non-tanky players. But the decent stamina recovery and armor penetration means I'm also useful after the burst opener.

I just finished getting my Bone Pirate. Already used Spriggans. What a treat actually having a bit of sustain. I am also using Bow/2H and was trying to figure out a good combo.

Wait Balorgh triggers before damage applies?

I have to open with a bow attack to trigger bezerkers enchantment and from stealth for camo hunter bezerk. Then ambush give vunerability now so you are getting more damage than before.

In battlegrounds i slot siphoning strikes for more sustain but thete is plenty of down time in cryo.

Spriggans is terrible because onslaught ignores resists. I sometimes like to snipe zergs so i went with SotA over sword singer.

I like the place the fully committed Onslaught gank has in the meta of Protective jewelry, Mighty Chudan, Pariah, Fortified Brass etc.
The number of people running 30k+ health is inconvenient not because you can't kill them but because the execute is another global cool down for their buddies in voice chat to react by and because you lose the combo and need to regen some ulti.
Balorgh and an ultimate that immediately regenerates is pretty good. Getting a kill while losing your ulti definitely feels like a Pyrrhic Victory.

I tried that combo but with Slimecraw instead of Balorgh today for laughs, well it turned out my 'victims' had the last laugh. I don't know what people are wearing these days, but with a 16k non-crit tooltip (no-CP) I was critting(!) templars from the PvP meta brigade from stealth for *drumroll* 12k damage. I don't know how because I had +70% total crit damage on that build.

16k tooltip, means 8k base, meaning with crit, additional 5.6k, so 13.6k potential. If they take 12k they only mitigated 1.6k... or about 8% - so probably just minor protection.

You need Bal. In medium Armor, at full ult, you're looking at an additional 1,350 weapon damage. That's gonna dwarf the 8% from slimecraw

I'm talking about the tooltip in the battleground, so damage is already reduced. I've hit other players with the exact tooltip damage of 16.4k. 8k base damage would be pathetic for an Ultimate, my surprise attack almost hits that hard.

I always assumed Bal only buffed weapon damage up to the cost of the ultimate, not the total ultimate consumed. If its the ultimate consumed that does make the set more interesting. On the other hand one does not constantly run around Onslaughting people with 500 ultimate stored unfortunately.

Oh I see what you're saying now.

Then that'd have to be... 4260 equivalent crit resistance for a full mitigation (but you're looking at an over all...)

    Then another 30% from base.

    Hrm

27200 brought to 12k so 56% total mitigation.... So major protection + 3k crit resistance (impreg) or any equivalent would do that

Afaik - crit resistance is not ignored by onslaught

Balorgh boosts your weapon/spell damage by two times all the ultimate that is consumed aka leaves your pool. Least in the CP campaigns you certainly don't need 500 ulti to global people. When you happen to have it you do hit crazy numbers on ganks...
Camouflaged Hunter is already worth slotting just for the Slayer passive and gives the missing Minor Berserk from not having Slimecraw or Relentless Focus giving it.
BGs are probably not the ideal place for the pure Onslaught gank set up. Wrecking Blow->LA->Onslaught(->Killer's Blade) sometimes gets people who're running around but often fails to fire. People wearing sets like Reactive Armor or Buffer of the Swift are a bit of trouble sometimes too.

I’ve been having fun just running my basic hunding’s + spriggan’s set up using cloak -> dizzy-> onslaught -> killers blade/executioner. It gets a bit boring but I love to run around to keeps under attack and just hit dudes sitting stationary on one cata/ballista lol. I know the build could be a lot better, but I don’t feel like investing a ton into it :P

Don't use Spriggans with Onslaught it ignores resists so that 5 pc bonus is wasted.

I have used Hundings Rage and Strenght of Automation before it wasn't bad except my hp was too low so I had to use tri-stat enchants on my large pieces, Clever Alchemist has those hp bonuses.

The points been made about Onslaught ignoring resistances, hence why Spriggan is wasted in that regard but I have a question.

In terms of overall damage, would I be better off running Sword Singer or Spriggan?

Currently using 5pc SoTA with 2pc Veli. The only 2hand abilities I use are Executioner and Onslaught, but if I had sword singer the damage they’d deal would be off the charts. On the other hand losing out on 3k+ pen from dropping Spriggan would hurt.

    I need opinions.

I would also use the 2h gapcloser if you were going to do that.

I chose to use SotA because it was similar but applied to more skills that meant I had to use executioner over killers blade (and focused aim over lethal arrow)

Well, my back bar uses a sharpened weapon to get more penetration and there is also reapers mark available.

There is also more than enough Cp to slide a bunch into penetration since that 1 extra % normally isn't work all those points (but you may play no cp PVP)
