I screwed up royally on undaunted shoulder and helmet by transmuting them with the wrong character.

Is there anything I can do? Three months of grinding is wasted now? I had no idea transmuted items are bound. Are you kidding me? I'm so demoralized now. I upgraded them to gold and enchanted them and everything.

Is this really the end? Is there anything at all I can do? Maybe file a ticket or something? Please. I'm begging for help.

They are not character bound, but account bound. Deposit them in your bank and pull them out on whatever character you want. If you want to use them on a different character, rinse and repeat as often as desired.

Edit: this is pretty much the same with almost everything in the game. There are some quest rewards/level up rewards that are character bound but it is rare.

Any of your characters can still use it, you just have to put it in your bank and have the character you want to use it on withdraw it.

I'm not sure I understand the problem completely, but when you transmute an item it becomes bound to your account and not only to a single character. You can still toss the item in your bank and use it on another character.

Yes, all items with a very few exceptions like some level up rewards and quest items are account bound.
Monster sets are bound anyway except that you can swap withing the dungeon group.

You can change the transmute again to something else...undaunted shoulders and helms are always account bound . If you put wrong transmute retransmute to what trait you do want.

O.k.. I went to my bank and whenever I try to deposit the items into the bank, they do not appear.

What gives?

Do you have them equipped? If they are equipped they won't show in your inventory to deposit. Unequip, and they should be there.

You might be lagged idk why that would happen. Are you looking at your personal bank and not your guild bank?
Do you have enough free slots in your bank to deposit the items. Have they gone into your bank or are they still in your bag?
Could you be using some addpn that is causing this?
Sometimes if i have issues i log out and log back in or even have resarted my comouter.

Tbh, its not that hard to put things in your bank and pull them out with a different character.....

Maybe check your addons, some could be buggy

Playing on xbox so not add ons. Don't have them equipped either. I'm trying to deposit into my personal bank and not my guild bank and I have plenty of room.

That's what's weird about it. I can see them plain as day when I go to the deconstruct option on blacksmithing. It's just I can't deposit them into the bank. When I go to my inventory I don't see them either. And they're not equipped.

Are they just bound on my crafting character now and there's nothing i can do about it? Because not two months ago i did the same exact thing to a bone pirates setup and was able to deposit them in my bank and then log into my main character and withdraw them.

Thanks for all the help guys. I'm literally panicking right now

You're doing something wrong. There is no such thing as character bound gear in this game so don't worry.

If you can see the item in the blacksmithing menue but not your inventory, it might be already in your bank.

You should be able to use any monster sets on any of your toons and move them around via the bank or storage boxes.

I imagine the best place to take this further would be ESO’s support team. They’ve always been really helpful when I’ve had issues like this.

Are they in your bank already? You can decon and transmute straight from bank too. Check are they really in your inventory.

If you’re not wearing them, can you find them in your inventory? If not CHECK your bank as you may have already put them in there and didn’t notice.

I transmute gear on my main and move it to other toons all the time, the gear is definitely not bound to the toon you transmuted on. I strongly suspect you're doing something wrong but if not, it may be a bug. Send in a support ticket.

They are account wide but you cannot put bound items in your guild bank, only your personal bank. If they are not appearing then perhaps it's a glitch. What was the helm if you don't mind?

The helmet was bloodspawn's visage.

I'm not on the game right now but I will check when I get on to see if they're in my bank already (I didn't know you can access your bank from the blacksmithing station), but I'm almost positive I checked my bank already.

If it's not in there then it's a bug and I'll put in a ticket for it.

When you are searching your bank, make sure you are on the "withdraw" tab, not the "deposit" one! Or vice versa in case you were looking at the withdraw tab before without depositing the item first.

Btw you shouldn't be seeing the deconstruct or sell options on valuable items at all. It's risky. Lock them.

This, you can easy unlock if you are enchanting, upgrading or transmuting.

And everybody does mistakes: remember making an gold julianos destruction staff except it was non set.
Managed to sell it however

Know one who bought an cheap spell strategist staff, it was lvl 25

He equipped it so could not sell

@mickeypowell5 I´m glad you found your stuff. What @Balastar mentioned is important.

To make sure that you won´t accidentally decon items* that are in your bank or inventory: just lock them. Not sure how it works on console but on PC it´s rightclicking on the item, then you get the option "lock".

*) Been there, done that.
