Befoul Nerf.

Hello everyone.

I just wanted to ask... How it's possible Zenimax nerfed befoul so defile is even weaker when everyone has so high resists and healing = tank meta. I just don't understand it, Zenimax has really no clue about they're game. I mean we all know that, but i had the slight hope they will actually make good changes... But this is just the opposite.

Really no hope for this company, because they are utterly incompetent... Not going to talk about performance issues, because that is even worse.

    Being defiled hits you hard if you dont run a tank build getting sniped was basically a death sentence in no CP, if you were full medium. Buffing defile would hit non Meta tanks even harder and push them into playing a tank build.

    Befoul needed a nerf because it was an all-or-nothing thing with the healing. Now healing in general needs a nerf.

    Tell ZOS to remove healing received on heavy, replace it with damage reduction, then move it to light armor.

    In cp maybe. But in no cp damage is stronger than healing, at least in cyrodil. No one tanks here so easily, especially with how affective bleeds are. I would just hate a nerf to healing in no cp that makes solo/ smallscale harder for no reason, when the issue seems to be cp.

    @Thogard I don't know how nerfed befoul helps this game in general. It was not overtuned and you still had extra points for it anyway.
    They also won't nerf healing when they buffed it this patch.

    They need to killthe tankmeta. Everyone is tired of ppl not dying and how easy it is to build a tank that basicly can survive anything

    Befoul nerf don't help to kill tank meta though and this patch shows that they have no intent on removing tank meta.

    No one said the defile should be buffed. The nerf was unnecesary. It won't help anything and befoul has nothing to do with no cp.

    The tank meta is more prevalent in cp as you can offset the passives of HA which are based on either being hit or heavy attacking (25% with passives and put cp on top of that). Besides pumping up stam regen, you can reduce cost of sprint, rolling, blocking, and break free. All of these have play an impact. In no cp, some of these set ups just run out of gas and stam.

    No cp allows more variety in that you can either build to stack dmg, proc, or bleed, whereas cp sees bigger reward for stacking dmg and crit.

    I do think there are players that enjoy these tanky fights. So if you want longer drawn out fights, go cp, if you want careful care of resources go no cp. each there own I guess.

    Yes cp is too tanky this patch, but no cp is too offensively unbalanced.

    Every single thread is about one person being unhappy about something. No wonder ZOS don't bother reading these threads - no one is ever happy with anything. If they make one change to make a group happy, someone else instantly cries foul.

    Just learn to play and don't corner yourself into one build that relies on one skill or mechanism to be successful.

    Again, this is not possible in no cp. I even see perma block tank dks die from just 2 players focusing them. If people struggle to kill a tank in no cp it's because they aren't doing it correctly.

    No cp should not get ruined just because of issues cp has.

    I am sure if they adjust cp tree more then it would be fine and won't ruin no cp.

    I always was the opinion that befoul needed nerfed to begin with when they in stead nerfed the uptime of major defile on about every ability and set, athough it is odd that debuffs that benefit offense are on the tank weapon sets, there should be more sources of defile available to counter rather than have befoul making it over the top.
