Clearing Adds Vs Tanking

Been in some dungeons grps where the DPS attacks adds the tank is not tanking, which is fine if it can be done quickly before the DPS takes damage, or significant damage. But that's the problem, some DPS don't have the output to kill adds quickly so they start taking damage and thus become another tank for the healer to heal. In fact, they're taking more damage than the tank so they have made themselves a liability for the sake of an add or two.

And when they die, they of course blame the healer. No son, you decided to be a tank, minus the tanking spec or gear, so you died. Healer isn't expected to facilitate your stupidity.

Crowd control abilities (such as DK's talons) are very useful for keeping adds at bay.
But if if takes too long to kill normal trash pulls, your dds are not pulling their weight. Maybe they don't have any aoe abilities or just run away from adds instead of attacking them.
For normal dungeons you can use a mix of dps and tanking build (basically a sturdy dd with a taunt), it will make things easier.

I see a lot of PUGs with dps not using any aoe skills ever, it's a real pain in the butt.

This is why Templar can't be a legitimate Tank. GIVE US BLINDING FLASHES ZOS!!! (You can change it to something like the fear effect for NB's)

Talons or the silver leach morph of silver bolt is also very nice pulling inn ranged mobs and adds as they take a long time to clear if spread out.
Yes this is only useful if DD uses AoE

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
