Thoughts on the level progresion

I was wondering how folks were doing on the character level progression. What I'm meaning by this is not the skill lines, but the main heart of the character itself. When you get that point to spend on magica, health or stamina.

Are you satisfied with the leveling rate/progression? Is it to fast, to slow or just right for you.

The second part of my question is about the the skill line level progression. How do folks feel about that.

Myself I find the personal character level progression just a bit slow, but not to anywhere near the point of frustration. So maybe for me I might be in the just right zone.

As for the skill lines, and still wanting a lock picking skill line (but like getting the xp for a successful locking picking well done). Beside there being enough skill lines and options to make a persons head spin, I like how it has been done, it allows for (to coin a phrase) a world of endless possibilities from my point of view.

    Leveling is pretty uneven for me. When I start a new area it's slow and then before i know it I'm already overleveled with only half the available quests done. Gear-wise too, it's hard to maintain parity. I feel crafted gear should be good for at least 4 levels before level 25. As it is, I have to craft new gear almost every day.

    Crafted gear can last that long if you improve it to higher qualities. However, I find crafting a set of gear every other lvl actually helps in trying to lvl that craft, at least early on.

    I tend to be overleveled all the time. It's my lot in life since I like doing everything.

    @ursacorb14_ESO‌ What good would a lockpicking skill line give really. I mean I know it's cool to have skills level and all that. But lockpicking is so stupid easy as it is. It doesn't need to get any easier over time.

    I find level progression to be a little too fast. I'm only level 26 and I have played since the start of the 5 day EA but I expected levelling 1 character to 50 to take me at least a month and a half as I don't rush at all, am a bit of a alt-a-holic also. I am happy with the skill lines and I am always a level above the zones I go into.

    In actual days /played. My current templar is at lvl 26 and /played 3 days 20 hours. which isn't a lot considering that's only 92 hours of play.

    I actually agree with this, I also like the fact that that just makes harder chests permanently harder. The alternative would be a system where all chests are stupidly difficult from level 1, but by level 50 all chests are stupidly easy.

    Personally though I want some form of Athletics, Acrobatics skill that could allow me to jump higher or sustain less fall damage. That would be a nice skill to have. :)

    Um... you don't think 92 hours of play is not much considering with the five day early access the game has only been out for two weeks, which ends up being a little over 6.5 hours a day every day. I would say that is some pretty hard core time put into ESO every day.

    So in a 24 hour day (say on a average since your real schedule is not known)

    24 hour day
    -6.5 hours of game play a day
    = 17.5 hours left in the day
    -7.0 (Hours a sleep (once again it may be more or less ))
    = 10.5 hours left in the day
    -6.0 ( work a job if you have one ( this is say a middle of the road average between a 8 hour a day job and a part time job ))
    = 4.5 hours left in the day
    ( well say you don't take any meal breaks and eat during working or gaming )
    -.5 (for daily hygiene and cleanliness)
    = 4.0 hours left in the day

    I will leave it at that with a miscellaneous 4.0 hours that are unaccounted for. Which maybe filled with a social life, cleaning, laundry, watching TV ect..

    That's still a lot of time on a daily bases of gaming one game. Your definitely not a casual gamer, I would say your hitting pretty hard core. Now don't get me wrong or take this break down wrong. It's just for me that's a lot of gaming in one sitting for me, so the level of your Templar is not surprising at all. It would I think (which means I'm most likely wrong, something I have no problem being by the by) consider you a power gamer, but by that same token I think it also may show just how much you are enjoying ESO as well.

    So play on, and don't forget to Alt from time to time to see how the other classes and faction story line are.

    Its broken severely, huge amount of people running around that are level 50 which they got in a few days. Seriously if thats not broken I don't know what is.

    It's all relative @ursacorb14_ESO‌. In 2012, the average American spent 6 hours on leisure activity (3 hours of that on watching TV and an hour on their computer). If Loxy37 chooses not to watch TV and spends all those leisure hours on ESO instead, he/she really didn't sacrifice anything. Source -- http://www.bls.gov/news.release/atus.nr0.htm

    Personally, I hate TV and I hate social networking (two of the biggest time consumers for the average person these days). If I spend time that could have gone towards that on ESO, I haven't given up my social life, job, laundry, sleep, etc.

    Again, what constitutes a hardcore gamer is completely relative to how you play. Hardcore could be defined as 'anyone who plays more than you do'. And I can assure you there are plenty of people who play more than Loxy37 or myself. They probably don't consider themselves hardcore either :P
