I never onced used TCE , only bought crowns from spamming WTB crowns in zonechats.

Got race+namechanges multiple times for around 150-200k gold.

Not saying not to use TCE, but their prices are a bit overkill for my taste when you can find way cheaper from randoms.

    Edit: pc eu

The problem with TCE, first when you are a seller, its a lottery, they dont let you sell unless they want too, they say " a place to safely sell and buy crown" but only friend of admin can sell, otherwise they put you in somekind of low key seller rank and they only let you take 1 order every 2-3 days ( the admin decide which order go in this one and its lottery to get it )
then they take gold from you when you sell,
if you sell for 400g on TCE or 300g on Zonechat, its the same at the end

Does anyone know why it's 400g/c on PC EU and 200 or less gold per crown on NA and other platforms? Is there some economic reason behind that pricing? I doubt the owners of the trading discords have an actual chart that reflects supply and demand...

More people selling because more people.

More people would also imply more people buying, so that's invalid.

I guess it's a complex interaction between cultures, respective real life purchasing value of real money, that sort of things. In other words, if 1 USD buys you half a slice of bread, you're more likely to spend it on something as worthless as game gold. But if 1 USD buys you a week of food, you're less likely to exchange it for ESO gold.
    Separate markets, in fact.

The people who have drove the crown prices down to around 100g on ps4 are not the buyers, but those who take it upon themselves to tell others what they should and shouldn't be valuing their crowns at when they have zero to do with the potential trade. The same people you see mocking others in zone chat for wanting X amount for X item.

Usually find those who do the mocking and stick their nose into a crown transaction are those people who list items in guilds at their most expensive and sell their own crowns at a much higher price.

Was one guy who made a huge scene in a guild when someone was wanting to sell their crown. The buyer agreed, only this other person began telling the buyer he was being ripped off and crowns are only worth 100g. Only, days later the same guy sticking his oar in was himself selling crowns in zone chat for 150g. Some people just self appoint themselves on how others should value their cash in-game.

DO NOT support the TCE, wonder why the prices are so high? Its because they're literally monoplising it. Find an independant reseller. Chances you get scammed are seriously low and to the thickheads thinking that because Gina is a Discord member in the TCE, everything will be safe, it will not lmao.

I feel like you're leaving a few important details out.
    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/422349/crowns-for-gold-illegal/p1

That was last year, I've had negative dealings with the TCE and hence my comment.

AFAIK, TCE EU reimburses any damage caused by the approved sellers that decided to become turncoats (which happens quite rarely). If you didn't bother whether the trader and the broker you are dealing with are on the list of approved staff, then it's your problem.

Comparing the amount of WTB receipts in TCE NA and TCE EU per day, EU has way more buyers (during slower days they are almost equal, which makes me assume that 200g rate on NA is quite similar to 400g rate on EU in terms of demand). And probably lower seller/buyer ratio
