Or is better to just do cadwells now so i can get the other alliances main story points? And once i finished that then do the all the side stuff?
So if im getting this right what cadwell is is just the main story line of other factions? So theres no side quest there then?
@Graydon You should have a new tab in the journal called Cadwell's Almanac, with this icon
That lists all the POI objectives you need to complete. For a breakdown of those by quest, see Cadwell's Almanac.
For a flow chart of each alliance's main quest, which includes an indication of which quests give skill points and which ones are required for Cadwell's Almanac, see:
Aldmeri Dominion
Daggerfall Covenant
Ebonheart Pact
Ok. I have to ask. What happens if you are doing other alliance's quest line without finishing (or even starting) your own? What will that do to Cadwell's quests or whatever?
My noobie research indicates that anything you've done that counts toward Cadwell's stuff will count as done in your "Cadwell journal" when you accept it. If not I'll repost as I'm going to be doing this soon and I know I've accidentally done some of them. I'm pretty sure I read that though.
Cool. Because I'm doing AD quests with a friend whose char is from EP, while my char is from DC. Mostly because we are tired of mushrooms, volcanoes and brown ash from Vvardenfell. Elves' locations are nice.silvermistktralasub17_ESO wrote: »from what I gather, it doesn't mess them up, however, I'm not an expert, as I've never done things out of order. 10 cadwell's gold characters, and all from start to finish...prefer it that way.
I'm confused too. What are the main story quests for the other factions? How do you know if you have completed the right ones?
There doesn't seem to be any monitor that shows progression of Caldwell's Silver and Gold. Heck I haven't even seen Caldwell since I finished the main story.
Example - I'm doing my 2nd faction (silver) now. How do I know that I'm progressing to the gold part of the quest?
Thanks to all who answer. I should have asked this long ago.

Looking at the Wiki linked in this thread, I can see the flowchart and the list of all the quests required for Silver. What I can't tell is whether you have to do basically the entire story, or just the indicated ones, because of prerequisites.
For example, I'm EB, so my silver is DC. I started out in Stros M'Kai with the Broken Spearhead quest. But the first quest required for Silver is Reclaiming the Elements in Glenumbra.
Can I completely skip Stros M'Kai and run to Glenumbra and pick up Reclaiming the Elements? That quest doesn't list a "prerequisite", but a "previous" quest. So can you just run around picking up only the ones listed in Cadwell's journal?

The quests with the unique arrow are the ones you need to follow. I think you CAN skip Stros M’Kai, but I didn’t because I did my Cadwell’s Silver before the zone guide update.
Correct, if you're trying to complete Cadwell's Silver as fast as possible, you can just pick up only the ones listed in Cadwell's Almanac. But you will miss out on quite a bit of the story if you do so (if that matters to you). The flow chart and the unique quest marker indicate all the quests that are part of the storyline, but Cadwell's Almanac only requires some of them. (The ones required for Cadwell's are indicated in the flow chart by the darker colour.)pizzamanub17_ESO wrote: »I decided to just find out for myself - I finished the spearhead quest in Stro M'Kai cause I was almost done anyway, but then I ran straight to the Wyrd Tree quest giver (north of Chill House) and picked up the required quest. I skipped everything before that in the story, so you don't have to do *all* the unique arrow quests apparently. You can indeed just jump right to the specific ones required for Cadwell's Silver.pizzamanub17_ESO wrote: »Sorry to necro this, but I am still confused on one point about Cadwell's Silver.
