Can We Please Have Two Things

I don't know where else to put this since there isn't a "suggestion" forum so here it goes.

Can we please have a setting that copies all of the game settings from an existing character to a new one? It's plain annoying to have to go through all the game, keybind, and addon settings to duplicate everything every time. Yeah there are more pressing issues but I'm just tossing this out there. It would be an awesome QoL improvement.

Also, can we please have a built in minimap? I've never seen a game without one. Sure we can use an addon but the more addons we have the more it stresses our machines and the greater chance something won't play nice with something.

Thank you.

Fully support both things as long as we get the choice to enable/disable the map.
Also i would request a built in dressing room addon. Had it on pc but i'm missing it a lot on ps4 and it's quite annoying having to manually set everything again when i'm done with pledges and wanna go to cyro.

Minimap would be nice for us console plebs who don't have access to addons.

I know it's another add-on to use but Binder is a huge help with key bindings. When I make a new character I just have to type /binder load Main and they're all there.

But yes, I would support both of these as options. Especially the ability to copy settings. There's some things I just don't bother changing because it's not quite annoying enough that it's worth making the adjustment 8 times.

I agree on the mini map suggestion. It's in my firm belief that every MMO should come stock with a mini map.

For the copying part. You can just backup your ESO setting files on a cloud based hard drive or flash drive. So this is already doable with google as a free cloud based hard drive. Or the one that came with windows that is accessible through your Microsoft account called One Drive!

This would be amazing on Console. I hate having to look at a video I made of my main characters options setup when I make a new character in order to get them to be the same. Some of the display/camera settings should be universal, though I guess I could understand the argument that certain characters (maybe Tank vs Healer) MIGHT want different camera positions.

Even better IMO is Votan's Keybinder which puts a checkbox next to each keybind you can click to make them account-wide. Also libAddonKeybinds separates all the Addon keybinds into a separate tab so you don't have to search for them in a huge list of all keybinds, and it works with the above.

On PC Votan's Minimap is an extremely performant minimap with a lot of config options (plus 3rd party patches to make it a rotating round minimap if you prefer).

There is also MiniMap by Fyrakin which is a bit more performance hungry when changing zones (not noticeable on newer systems) and has additional functions like border pins for quest objectives.

But I am assuming you are on console so... no shiny for you! :p

I agree with the settings thing - it really would be very convenient. Add chat settings to the mix, so one can transport costum color setups and such! Just "save template" and then a "load template" button next to the "restore defaults"... should be easy, right?

The minimap... eh. I actually prefer ESO this way!

In ym opinion, it gets more immersive for a fantasy-tech game when you don't have a minimap that shows you exactly where to go, but have to look at the compass on top and occasionally consult your map... heck, sometimes I wish you didn't even get "go there" quest markers, but only a "general area" quest marker and have to look for whatever it is you're questing for on your own... (yeah, I can hear the wailing of the speedrun freaks already!)

I suppose... this comes from coming to computer games from way back when. back in the olde days, where there were NO mapping tools whatsoever, and you had to draw your own dungeon maps... Oh, those were they days, you young whippersnappers have ni idea how good you have it, No Idea I say! Back in my day we had to quest uphill both ways (because a teleport tile popped us downhill just as we were finished in the dungeon), had to draw our own maps, and often figure everything out ourselves!! Now gerroff mah lawn! :p;)

But eh. Not really that big a thing as long as I can turn it off, and as long as it would never show enemy players in cyrodil sneaking up on people... Of course... at this stage, I would expect them to put any minimap option in the crown store! Minimap unlock, 5000 crowns! :p;)

I have Votan's Minimap but didn't know about the Keybinder. TY, just DL'd it. That will help, now just need a way to copy all the game settings too :D
