Cloak should not negate DOTs or Allow Healing

    Cloak is overloaded. It functions like a dodge, suppresses dots, makes you untargetable (immune to all single-target) and invisible. Radiant Magelight used to be a good counter when it was a toggle. Detect pots use to have 100% uptime. The all-or-nothing nature of it makes it either way too good or totally useless.

    Youre wrong.

    Streak is akin to dodge roll. So is mist form.

    Cloak is akin to shield.

    You know why shield doesnt have an increased cost or heal/regen supression? Because its an awful idea. Same for cloak.

    Nightblades have already had tanking, healing and the last thing they excelled at, single target dps, nerfed.

    The fact that after this patch, off all patches, you want more nerfs...............

    Streak is not at all like a dodge, because attacks still hit you. Cloak is actually a magicka dodge, it makes all targeted attacks miss you just like dodge. Cloak is actually stronger than dodge, because it lasts 3 seconds and you can't dodge dot ticks. If anything, Cloak should have a cost increase just like Dodge, and Streak should have it's cost increase removed. No other gap closer has a cost increase.

    No sorc Stam or mag uses streak as a gap closer.

    Streak isn’t a “gap closer” necessarily . It can be used as one, but it’s not just a gap closer. A gap closer requires a target to fire. Streak can be done whenever and in any direction without a target. If anything it’s for kiting. It is both defensive and offensive. All other gap closers are only offensive.

    I feel like many of you are fairly new and don’t remember or know how things once were. Do you know why they increased streak cost? People complain how NB’s can “fail an attack and just cloak away and reset” well take a look at what sorcs did back in the day. You can still catch a cloaked NB and plenty have people given you the options. Sorcs on the other hand were just effortlessly streaking across the map and no snare or gap closer would stop them from doing so. Streak through the people chasing you and streak a couple more times to LoS anywhere you like, fully heal up then recast your shield, which, at the time lasted a long time as opposed to now which made killing sorcs even more difficult to kill when combined with the old school streak.

    All of your (not just the person quoted above) ideas of how to nerf cloak would simply lead to the skill being completely useless or removed entirely. You think cloak is bad? Alright, get ready for the influx of sword and board NB’s that are going to begin wrecking people without invisibility being needed. I’m sure y’all will find something else to complain about because it’s easier to nerf another class so you can “feel powerful” than to simply get better at the game.

    This cloak argument has been around for years. The reason why cloak still exists (even after its nerfs) is because most people including ZoS understand that all of you anti-cloak “OmG it so OP” kind of players are wrong. Just because people who don’t like it are more vocal about it on the forums does not mean you are the majority.

    “I can’t beat (class) because (skill) is OP, therefore because I cannot do it, it must be changed!” This is the usual argument against all classes and it needs to stop. People keep approaching nerfs subjectively instead of objectively.

    My old build had issues with DK’s back in the day (still kind of do when they are good players), so I adjusted. Then I had issues with wardens when they first came out. Then I adjusted. Are some skills strong and need a nerf? Sure. Incaps defile was a prime example. That skill (old one) was an actual example of an overloaded skill.

    Y’all need to stop with this nerf crap. We are where we are in this game because of it. Nerf after nerf. X GETS NERFED THEN PEOPLE REALIZE Y WAS BETTER ANYWAY AND NEW META IS CREATED.

    The more stuff we nerf the less variety we have because no one uses nerfed skills most of the time. We only have so many spots on our bars and no one wants to waste one of those ever important spots on a nerfed terrible skill. This isn’t always the case, but more and more often it is becoming a problem.

    DK is possibly the best class to combat NB. It is the antithesis of NB. This isn’t new information. I love my DK and I made it because of how hard of a time I used to have with them on my NB.

    Stop it. Just stop with this insanity.

    Cloak is overloaded, and shouldn't suppress the damage from previous applied DOTs.

    But we need to stop penalizing ACTIVE mitigation. Why are passive buffs like Minor Protection fine to have 100% uptime just for slotting a skill okay, but a guy cloaking/dodging/streaking multiple times to get away is all of the sudden evil?

    If healing ward was restored to it's pre-nerfmire state I would be ok with no healing but negating DOTs is actually kinda important. We don't have big shields or a pufiy so thats how we survive.

    You cant shutdown a core survival mechanic to a class, just to make it easier for you. Cloak has counterplay all over the place, use them or not. Engulfing pulls out, talons, if you have mage light on like some magdk. Nightblades dont have enough healing without cloak, we dont have major or minor mending, crit surge, or dark deal.
