I am suffering from high ping issues this weekend from Thursday. Ping is around 390 and spikes to 650,750 to a 999+... which makes the game unplayable .
I used to get an average ping between 180-280 when game runs smoothly.
I have tried all the troubleshooting mentioned in this forum and it didn't help .
Also try to help me here rather than sending me to another discussion because i have posted in those discussions and nobody replied.. My internet connection is fine and other games does not suffer from ping.Help me before closing this thread and sending me to others threads.. I tried other threads , nobody cared to reply.

Same here, nothing like this happened to me until the new expansion launched. I even setup port triggering which I never had to do before, but it basically has no effect. I've disconnected around a dozen times today alone.

    USA Jarrell, TX
    ISP Suddenlink
    400mb download // 20mb upload
Wired connection from NETGEAR CM1000 modem and NETGEAR Ax8000 router.

I confirmed during the high pings/disconnects from ESO that I’m not getting a disruption in internet service, because I’m able to quickly alt/tab and go to new websites or even start a YouTube video. The high ping/disconnects are only happening between me and the NA ESO server even with port triggering setup. I also tried disabling all addons since the patch, but it didn’t help.

    Hi Arijit,
Good to see another Indian in this game.
I can agree with you on the fact that ping is higher these days and for me at least 150ms more have been added to my base ping which is 170-220 resulting in a whooping 300-350. It almost feels like I am playing on NA servers but you know what on NA server I get lesser ping like 280-290.

The problem is with routing of your IP. In my case I did a tracert to trace the connection to the game server in EU whose IP address is 195.122.154.1 and below is the result:

    1 2 ms 1 ms 1 ms 45.123.95.1
    2 * * * Request timed out.
    3 1 ms 1 ms 1 ms 103.42.160.13
    4 123 ms 128 ms 123 ms 182.79.152.154
    5 122 ms 122 ms 122 ms ldn-b4-link.telia.net [62.115.162.232]
    6 238 ms 238 ms 238 ms dtag-ic-323085-ldn-b4.c.telia.net [62.115.50.19]
    7 255 ms 255 ms 255 ms 217.5.118.86
    8 249 ms 248 ms 248 ms 195.122.154.1

As you can see in the 6th line the ping rises to 200+ and the IP address points to telia.net which is in Switzerland (If you find out the geo-location of this IP address). So in this case we can't do anything about it from our end and it has to be addressed by ESO.

I have already raised a ticket : Incident: 190524-000523 and currently awaiting a non-scripted answer.

Same thing happening to me since the Elsweyr DLC launched. On top of the random ping spikes, which can be anywhere from 120 to 999+ (!), I also get disconnected at random times. Every time this happens I'm simply booted back to the login screen with no error message whatsoever.
