My Stage 1 Vampire (Necromancer) does not look like a vampire

She's also only level 5. Please tell me this is intended. Part of me thinks it is NOT because my other vampires in Stage 1 all still look like vampires. C'mon ZOS, just give me this ok? Make Stage 1 look like a normal mortal already!

Nope, it's just a bug that happens, usually to new vampires. It will go away as soon as you get to a different stage

Woah now, that escalated quickly. Just a tip for a fellow new vampire: you can buy Bloody Mara drinks from guild traders, they allow you to reduce your stage of vampirism, if you're doing a fire themed dungeon, it's a good idea to drink them to go to stage 1 (where you take no additional % fire damage).

If you wanna be a vampire, you should be ok with looking as vampire, what's the problem?

This is the type of bug many people would like as a feature.

Man, I find farther stages of Vampirism to be horrifyingly ugly.
I am patient with stupidity but not with those who are proud of it.

What would be the point of being a vampire then?

I know. I make them on my main. But at Stage 1 you still look like a vampire, not how my character looks right now. This is just the first time I've seen this bug on one of my vampires.

To have free extra recovery, durability, full speed while sneaking, all of it without drawbacks, so everybody in Tamriel will become vampire then.
I think vampires are ok in PVP, because of blessed Dawnbreaker and ton of fire damage, but in PVE it is just broken OP feature.

You go proper vamp pasty as soon as you use one of your vamp abilities outside of the quest instance...
at least mine always do :(
But yeah, seems you can keep looking normal for a while if you don't actually slot and use a vamp ability (sometimes).
