Honestly, what you think about necromancer class

Im not here to flame the class. Just rly want to know about your expirience with it so far.
For me it feels good, and in the same time i feel like he miss smth.
From what i see they try to introduce a damage over time class. We dont had such so far /and imo we stil dont have any/.
They added a passiv in dps skill tree which increase dot dmg. They even name it Rapit Rot and is the last passive you obtain in that tree. Which in my opinion should mean is one of keys how you need to play your class.
So far so good. BUT outside the colossus i dont see ANY usefull class skill based on dot. Not in PvP atleast.
Both Boneyard and Syphon are pure PvE skill with NO use in pvp. Atleast not again sm1 who SLIGHTLY use his brain.
So necro has no execute (wont count increase % chanse vs low lvl targets as such) has no mobility, has no major brutality/ any/ and no reliable heal.
Because ZoS plan it to be DoT/rot class is understandable why necro has ZERO burst skills. And i mean zero.
Someone may say "Blastbones". Oh man, where to start...
Blast bones are kinda ok if you play magica morph, but stamina one is broken. I know, they work fine when target is in front of your nose, but this is not always possible, andeven then dmg is stil low.
Sometimes they work fine. 2.5 sec spawn, then skelli go right to the target and explode. But most of the time, even there is no obstacles between him and the target, skeleton look like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqJVa0fl01w Literaly!!! 3 seconds later it just explode. So more than half of the time we cast a skill which cost resource, put us in GCD and takes 5.5 seconds to do NOTHING. Literaly just explde at his place doing no dmg.And even if he somehow menage to hit the target, the dmg is 2 times less than it should be. (you cant fix this with a recast because is not posible to cast when skelleton is stil aktive) Magica one do the real dmg everytime. Stamina one is half of what we have on discription.
I dont play healer so i have nothing to say for this rolle but from what i see is hardly better than wrd or templar/
Tanking. Oh my, oh MY.
Looks good. Feels good. And thats all.
Its a HP based tank. And we all know that tanks now are more support than just punching bags. So everything above 37-40k is useless.
I dont see what necro can provide to benefit the riad outside boneyard mitigation reduction in aoe fights. Things every necro can provide anyway.
And on top of all this i see ppl complaining hop op necro is. Yep i know, bone goliath make him imortal in pvp for like 20 seconds but is easily to kite him/ or just ignore him.

So guys will be nice to hear what you think about your necros.

I made a necromancer on release, got her to level 15 and haven't touched her since.

I know that she will be altered/nerfed/buffed in the coming months and until then I don't want to get too attached.

feel great and i have a lot of fun my my magcer, the biggest issue i have with him though, is that skeletal arcanist does not proc ilambrises lightning damage proc. if it did that, the class would be perfect for me. loads of fun to play. gets 30k dps easy and that is enough for me.

There are some interesting synergies between abilities like having Render Flesh + Expunge and Modify feeding you a negative effect to grant resources back, it allows you to quickly fill up your stamina back up with little wasted magicka if you don't mind spamming them back to back. There's also Blastbone spamming at close range + Bitter Harvest for quick recovery and ultimate generation getting me back to full ultimate fairly quickly. With that in mind, I am wiping out Public Dungeon bosses relatively quickly with Unnerving Boneyard + Colossus + Scythe spamming; the high penetration combined with Major Vulnerability and low animation timing of the Scythe drains targets quickly from full health to dead before the Colossus finishes its attack.

I'm having fun with the Stamcro. It seems like it fits in well with all the other classes. I'd be happy if they left it as is and didn't nerf or buff it.

I'm more positive than I used to be, now that I've noticed how strong Deadly Scythe is in trash fights.

That said, my necromancers are Level 25 and Level 18, and neither has been in anything harder than a public dungeon yet, so my opinions are ...fluid.

Magicka is lackluster. I like it but I’m finding myself looking at the stamina and tanking like 👀

This was going to be my one and only caster/mage and it looks like I’m back to endless hail/vigor/caltrops yet again. Kind of tired of it.

Using a bow/dw with Warden fits thematically. Using it with stamDK, fine I get it. Using it with stamplar, ehh really would rather 2h/something else. Using it with stamsorc, ehhhhhh really would rather 1h&rune. I don’t play Nightblade anymore, just fish and steal.

My only bug so far is that the character slows down to a crawl after combat. There are no debuffs, no spells active, and I didn’t accidentally hit the run/walk key. It’s pretty bad. I have to relog to get rid of it.

I'm enjoying stamcro so far. The blastbones doesn't hit for as much as it's supposed to, but that will be fixed. Still trying to get used to the targeting with the colossus, sometime it spawns much further back then where I targeted it, sometimes it spawns right where I targeted, doesn't seem to be much pattern to it targeting correctly or net yet. Otherwise though, I'm really liking it.

So far not great in PVP, full of bugs and the mini game doesn’t work 1/2 the time. I’m hoping it get a hot patch really quick or mine gonna get shelved

A solid base, but needs a lot of QoL changes + raw numbers buffs if we want them to do anything but maybe(?) tank. The criminal act thing has got to go, though.

Stamcro is in a good spot aside from blastbones being bugged, still pulls pretty good dps, and doesnt feel nearly as clunky as magcro. But having multiple weapon lines and access to just more things helps, also better morph on class skills for the most part to.

Magcro needs helps, and necromancer in general could just use quite a few QoL changes. But i doubt we are going to see much change sadly.

I tried Stam DPS, Magica Healer and Necro Tank till now (Will try magica DPS when Blastbones are fixed) and I loved them all.

My absolute favorite right now is the Tank, because its just so fun to play, build up the Ultimate, steal the sould of the Dead, Fight in a frozen Graveyard and then become a giant monster for 20 seconds, giving your healer time to take care of the other because for 20 seconds, "You got this!"

    Overall, it feels great.

But I should mention that I never expected a Pet class. For me a Necromancer uses the Dead as tools, weapons, not companions.

I really like how they did the necro, that its not a stupid boring minion master - its more complex and more like a "dark" sorcerer,IT fits very well IMO.

PvP wise magro is rally bad.

I absolutely love the new dynamic necro provides for group play - two new unique synergies, unique debuff (major vunreability), roots, heals and the resurection ultimate. All skills feel strong and have their place. Sure, it needs some fine tuning for some skills not working properly but all that aside, after a few fixes it should find it's place among other classes while not making them obsolete. Just my two cents.

Love the kit and the concept! I play magicka necromancer with AoEs. My only issue is that corpses despawn unpredictably, blastbones is bugged, and the criminal act mechanic is bleeding my wallet dry because of all the bounties. I feel like a necromancer, I have all my summons and if I want to summon a horde I can use the reanimate blastbones ultimate. The did really good at designing it and giving plenty of options for building. There will always be people who aren't satisfied though, and it's just a matter of are most people satisfied? I think so. Anyway, I do feel stamina necromancer is a bit stronger (big surprise lol), but after the bugs are fixed I'm sure they'll be closer together.

    Necro was completely halfassed

Like your very unique answer to this question, props for that.

Well, i personally enjoy my necro tank so far, i dont think its lacking in some ways - maybe group utility - but other then that its not to bad, can't say anything about the other Roles because i haven't played them.

I think its good that they considered stamina morphs this time, which is great to be honest, if there should be future classes up ahead somewhere, i hope they consider tanking more as well (healthskills).

Overall its pretty fun, but for me personally as far as i can tell now (just played him a couple of hours) distant second/third for raiding(tank).
Here, have a chill pill 💊!
