I have ADHD as well but I don't see as much of a problem. The pets needs a target anyways.
Ihat player who is jumping around and casting abilities here and there in town--they probably can't really help it. That's just what they do, that's how they are, and to be punished for it is frankly pretty terrible.
I just earned a 2k bounty because I can't help but fidget with my keys/mouse when I'm standing around. I casted a pet who then decided to kill a NPC (despite the fact that I have the setting to attack NPCs turned off, which pets seem to ignore), which earned me a 1200 bounty, and then in an attempt to not die to the guard who agro'd me I used my mender to stay alive as I got away, earning me an extra 270g bounty every time I recasted the pet to heal.
I don't even really care about the gold. I have ten million gold, so 2k gold doesn't really matter. What does matter to me is being punished because of something that I can't help due to choosing to play a necro. Knowing this is going to earn me a bounty and a possible death every time won't stop me from fidgeting with my keys while I'm not busy. I honestly cannot help it. I know there are people out there like me too because I see them in game every day. That player who is jumping around and casting abilities here and there in town--they probably can't really help it. That's just what they do, that's how they are, and to be punished for it is frankly pretty terrible.
At least give us an option to turn this off. No matter how hard I try to remind myself not to use those keys, I'm going to do it anyway because that's how I am. It's like telling me that even though I have an itch that I really need to scratch, I'm not allowed to, and if I do, I'm going to be punished for it. I'll do it anyway (and you probably would too) because it's an unconscious act or reaction that we can't really help.

The issue of dueling is a reasonable one though.

Your lived experience with ADHD isn't going to be the same as everyone else's, thank you for the anecdote though.

Doesn't that also apply to your story tho?

Or fidget with different buttons. I do a lot of jumping + weapon swapping when waiting around.
Don't make a mountain out of a molehill.

I love you. Someone who's saying it as it is. Yeah it sucks and all, but complaining and demanding change over it ain't gonna work out well.I just earned a 2k bounty because I can't help but fidget with my keys/mouse when I'm standing around. ADHD here, stop using that as a crutch life wont cater to us.
I dont want to agree with you cause ZOS doing this was only a good thing for lore immersion, and i hope they expand it to include werewolves, vampires, daedric magic etc. And when it comes to duels, how about this. Leave town. Duel outside. ZOS gave us an entire arena to the west of Wayrest just tor dueling that everyone ignores.
I dont know what else to say other than to just deal with it.Thats not me being mean, thats just your only option. Like other people said, ZOS isnt going to cater to you for your personal struggles.

Honestly, the thread really comes off as something that a deranged game Journalist would try to write up: Self insertion of a "Problem", talk about how bad it is, and how the game should be designed to cater to you and you alone most of the time.
I stand by what I said. Take a cursory glance at some articles written up by journalists, a lot of them try to act like victims by proxy over things, some of them trying to use disabilities as a crutch (Only to then be called out by people with disabilities). It just comes off as... I don't know the right word for it, but "Sad" comes to mind.Honestly, the thread really comes off as something that a deranged game Journalist would try to write up: Self insertion of a "Problem", talk about how bad it is, and how the game should be designed to cater to you and you alone most of the time.
yeah your post comes off as something too

I... I'm sorry, but let's put things in context for a second. Let's assume that you do more with your life than stay holed in in your home and play video games. Presumably, you have found ways to deal with your need to fidget in ways that are socially acceptable and don't net you hostility or nasty looks when you are out in public. I'm pretty sure if you went jumping around and flailing your limbs about in the real world folks would give you leery glances at best and call the police at worst. Find a different outlet for your fidgets in the game just like you have to in the real world. Like it or not, you can't always be "who you are" in this world or in a game world. It'll do you a service in the long run to channel this better in game as well as out of game.
lol what even is this post, i'm pretty sure ESO is a video game and not real life.

If that's what you got out of my post, I'm afraid my point was lost on you. Let me put this more simply, then, without the metaphor.
All of us with disabilities can expect a certain degree of accommodation, but it is also our responsibility to learn to manage it on our own to a certain degree as well. It doesn't matter if we're talking about "real life" or a game world in this regard. We cannot always do what we want to do. Frankly, this applies regardless of disability as well. If something is beyond our power to change, it is up to us to learn to adapt to it. That doesn't mean we can't air our grievances, but we need to accept when something is not in our control and instead change ourselves. Such flexibility serves us well in the long run especially when we have to deal with the additional adversity created by having a disability.
If you want it put even more simply, life is not and never was fair and we all need to take responsibility for ourselves by adapting to that fact. In any case, may the fates treat you kindly.
