Hopefully, Warden doesn't get nerfed to the point where DK is on top again.

I play both, in mostly Vet DLC dungeons. I feel that my DK has a much better time surviving without the assistance of a healer (Magma Shell and a better self-heal), buffs DPS for stamDDs through Major Brutality and magDDs through Engulfing Flames, gives a small shield to the group, and has a better pull/chain.

I enjoy playing my Warden tank, but I'd honestly rank even my Sorcerer tank above it for Vet dungeons (Survivability and sustain of Sorc tank are insane). I'd say the only consistent group bonuses a Warden tank gives are major resistances, AoE Minor Maim, and Minor Toughness.

    Both
Both are good and i personally run a Warden Tank, all vet end game content but just make sure that if you go for Warden get the silver leash from the fighters guild since that frozen gate skill to pull enemies is total garbage.

Don't agree at all, in my opinion, frozen gate is better than chains or leash. You can have three portals up, it costs far less magicka, and you don't have to target it. You just have to get used to it.

I play more Warden tank now than DK and like it a lot, far more fun than DK IMO. The only good thing you miss out on is Engulfing Flames, otherwise I'd say it's better than DK for the support in brings.

If magDK DPS is up after their changes to whip and flames direct damage, you'll at least be able to see them in some PvE content. It's a nice type-less bonus but so long as you have one DK somewhere, you don't need it on a tank.

Begs the question though, why doesn't Warden have a typeless, rule breaking utility somewhere in their kit? It'd just be nice flavor. That's the only thing I'd want. But I really like Frozen Gate, their ice heal got buffed, they give good utility with their armor buff and access to minor lifesteal for the team. I love their playstyle way more than DK tank.

When I first played my Warden Tank, I greatly enjoyed it over my DK Tank, even if my DK Tank had a better overall Tank toolkit. It had an entirely different dynamic to it, especially with Ice Staff, that made it have an overall unique feel to it than DK had. I enjoyed using Subterranean Assault to Fracture/Breech a group of adds for 10 seconds, and Arctic Blast was a great way to apply Chilled, especially coupled with WoE and Gripping Shards.

This is no longer the case. With the revision of Shalks to provide Fracture or Breech depending on morph as well as their reduction to 5 seconds from 10 and the complete destruction of Arctic Blast into the horrible skill it is today, I no longer enjoy the class for Tanking and have thus respec'd him into a Stamden.

My DK Tank is boring but at least its consistent so I'm giving it my vote.

Didn't they nerf nb? And just because you can it doesn't mean you should.

Exactly, I'm also doing stamden over tank too now that it's ruined.

They nerfed burst heal, though it was not so bursty anyway.. but new fear is amazing, as well as ambush with minor vulnerabilty. In dungeons NB tank is extremely useful to group now, since you'll meet healer with IA in dungeons really rare and minor vulnerability increases dps VERY noticeable.

U can bump up dark cloak to heal u for 10% of your max HP per second (noncrit). Without giving up the basic set stuff.

    Not bursty but okay.

But if i had to choose, warden for more gameplayfun, dk for scorepushing.

Ok, so my nb still lacks skills etc, but he survived tanking vDoM (first 3 bosses i had no healer, cause 3 dds, and at 4th they decided they need heal cause dds dropped like flies), and i had olorime ebon symphony, frost/master resto setup, so, idk, i think all classes are viable, they are what you make of them.

Edit: also, 33k health, kinda low, and before people start saying it is cause you burned everything fast, one of us was a 300 cp sorc that was a meta build, dealt around 8k dps, and was dead half of the fights. While @John_Falstaff is a powerhouse, he can't burn everything alone

So did Warden, but zos swooped in and ruined that. Necro is getting big changes and nerfs very soon.
