Given the real money cost for housing and housing products...

Why does ZOS keep trying to brush housing complaints under the carpet? How can they justify charging over 100$ for a house you can't even fill? What on earth could possibly be my motivation to spend that kind of money when I can't even utilize the space?

Also, why aren't there any cave/underground type options for the various housing sizes?

You people are sitting on a literal goldmine and you are for no apparent reason deliberately hamstringing yourself.

Don't forget how you have to subscribe every month to get the most out of the house you paid 100 for.

On a recent ESO Live, they did say that they were going to work on more medium homes (hopefully small ones, too). It may be a bit before we see any of these in the pipeline, but we should be seeing more reasonably-sized homes in the future. Though I'm sure we'll still get monstrous ones as well.

I'm hoping for some of them to be actual homes in some of the DLC areas and not just things like a snow globe or underground Dwemer chasm.

It's not just the size though, is it?

It's the layout and the design.

The front garden of Jode's Embrace is very nice, but the inside is a complete disaster.

Two overly big, equally sized, totally square rooms, both opening up on to the front yard, with a hall/stairwell in between and then, basically, just a corridor upstairs, with nothing leading off it and just a portal to another realm (back garden, with orange sky).

    It's just not good design.

Well that's an obvious answer. Because people keep buying it.
