There are a couple of builds that have essentially been BiS for stamblade in PvE for a LONG time. Sometimes certain sets get forgotten because at the time they came out, there was no reason to use them.

Since a NB will essentially get the most damage by being at the enemy flank or behind, how would flanking strategist fair if combined like something with relequin? I was going to farm it for the heck of it and try, but was wondering if anyone has given it a go in the last couple days or even thought about it.

Now granted, the 5% armor reduction is essentially trash in PvE because of normalized mob armor and spell resistance, it might not be worth it. I don’t know. Just a thought I was wondering if anyone else had.

    Bosmer, nb, flanking strat.... Could be interesting. Roll, attack, roll attack. Lol

    Hmm, hide of morihous as a second set...

    Could be fun, not sure how effective.

    Looks like you've answered your question already, @deepseamk20b14_ESO.

    Flanking Strategist can be a lot of fun in certain playsytles (like Stamina Nightblade) ... but it's not going to be BiS.

    With that in mind, you can certainly still complete 95% of the PvE content in the game with Flanking and another set.

    It's also easy to farm since it drops all over in the Gold Coast.

    If you're going for fun, I'd recommend pairing it with the revamped Essence Thief. I had fun with it during PTS testing ... rolling around on a Bosmer Stamina Necromancer.

    Yeah, I kind talked my way to my own answer didn’t I lol. I generally do my own PvP builds but never PvE so I figured I’d throw it out there to see if anyone has tried. But yeah, not sure it would be that great. I do like how it makes you think about position. Would be nice if the game added more elements/bonuses to strategic positioning though.

    Isn't the one before last top score for vAS+2 was achieved with setups like that? I may be mistaken, but on Liko's video, there's a link to build, and he ran a bow/bow stamblade (probably not meta anymore starting this update, but anyway) with Flanking and Tzogvin's.

    Having 2 sets that you need positioning and movement to proc on the same build aint something i would recommend.

    Honestly I just think people just go along with the meta builds because their favorite YouTuber or whatever came up with it. Honestly most of these people could throw on less than optimal gear and still have amazing DPS simply because they are skilled. This isn’t to say they don’t do a lot of testing. Sometimes there are some hidden gems out there though.
