Rich Lambert mentioned in one of the Elsweyr live streams that class change tokens are actually something they aren't interested in doing, partly because it would be difficult to implement.Solid_Metal wrote: »i read on a interview with Matt Firor, i think its on french magazine or something, that said they working on something like that, exactly a class change system or something similar we don't know yet

Why do people like you always assume it's the leveling people are worried about? Leveling a new character is easy enough, if not a bit time-consuming. What people have a problem with is redoing the Guild skill lines, certain Achievements, Skyshards, Lorebooks, Vampire/WW, possibly things like Legerdemain, and so on. It really is more a matter of everything else that goes into a character than just initial leveling, so maybe try not to be so patronizing and telling people what to do or not do.Stop chasing meta if your too lazy to level toons. Or if you just wanna test then go to PTS.

Once again, you, like most everyone else against Class change tokens, seem to assume people want to skip 'one part of the game'. Why do you think it's initial character leveling people have a problem with? It has nothing to do with 'cookie cutter' anything, it's people not wanting to make an entirely new character for a new Class (or existing Class really) and go through ALL of leveling that new character. It's not the 1-50 most people take issue with. It's getting Skyshards/Lorebooks, all the needed Guild skills like FG and Psijic, it's getting all the other stuff that comes with the 1-50.I can understand wanting a class change token because the race you selected for a particular character has been changed so much that the class is no longer great for that race.
But wanting a class change system simply because you can be bothered to play one part of the game on a new character and want to go straight to CP160?
I’m sure ZOS will indulge you by selling you cookie cutter ready made CP160s in future.

Your first choice is the one you're stuck with for the rest of your life, no matter how much technology changes or if the job even becomes redundant.
As the title suggests. It's unreasonable to expect players to start over from scratch on a massive game like this. A lot of us would like to try out the Necromancer (and many other classes for that matter) yet don't because the task of starting over is too prohibiting. The game already has race change tokens, name change tokens... why not class change tokens? It makes no sense to me why it doesn't. It would make ZoS more money, make their players happy - not to mention it's only fair considering how often they make (often dramatic) changes to their classes, many of which do not sit well with the people who play them. So it's a win win.

Account wide achievements (at least the pve ones) and crown store guild levelling tokens would solve this issue.

You do understand that this wouldn't work because you DO have to level all your skill lines to 50 from scratch and morphs 4?
Which is actually as much time it takes to level a new character? Or even harder if these are the 4th and 5th skill morphs you need take longer than leveling a new character.

But FFXIV lets you change you class as much as you want, and it's likely even more popular than ESO. There is obviouisly no correlation between the ability to change class and a game's overall health. It's an unwarranted fear.

Let me share my PvP rank across other characters within the same faction. Let me use the titles I've earned. Let me share things like fighters guild skill line progression across characters. Let me have upgraded mounts upon character creation.
I'm sure ZOS will monkeypaw the **** out of this and monetize it all just like they will with the skill lines and the skyshards though.
Also the PTS afaik doesn't stay up when there's nothing that needs to be testing. It's called a 'test server' not for individual private testing, but to test actual content before it gets made live.
