Proposed Solution to the Stuck in Combat Bug

I'll cut right to the chase.
Instead of whatever current system is in place to determine whether or not one is in combat, what could be implemented is the following:

1. When in the Skill, Gear, or Quickslot menu a short countdown (5s) is started and once it's up your skills gear and quickslots can be changed freely, This count down is reset every time damage is incurred from any source.

2. Skills and weapons cannot be changed with the use of addons until they meet the countdown requirements. This is to prevent abuse by swapping sets etc. in combat.

    They could revert the can’t swap skills in combat patch which we have been crying for since it went live? And never asked for.....

    Well like i said if you take damage the counter resets such that were you to actually get away long enough for you to go into your menu and swap skills you could do so (like if you got rapids stuck on your bar instead of a heal) But you couldn't just go into the menu while being bit by skeever and swap your stuff.

    My solution is still invisibility potions as it's an inconvenient yet infrequent anomaly.

    My god it feels like I spend 50% of my time in Cyrodiil in this state. I would go broke in one nights play lol.

    only reliable fix i've found is porting to another campaign and hoping there's no queue when i return to the main campaign.

    not a good solution at all. :/

    Regarding this perhaps a 2 second charge up on your mounts stamina before you can sprint such that you get immediatley dismounted if you try it?

    I would prefer "in combat" to simply not really mean anything. As an example if people really want to try and mount up while in combat, go for it. Simply means they are willingly putting themselves at greater risk. People should not have to do things like force close the game because bugs keep you in combat with no mobs/players anywhere in sight

    That's the idea here. No to have an "in combat" state for thee purposes of changing skills or mounting.

    There would need to possibly still be one for sets such as Clever Alch or, Shalk's Exoskeleton but not one that affects our QOL.
