If you use it you just don't care about RawlKaw. Personly I never knew it suposed to be a good trading hub.

    I use TTC.
But I am in EU, and as I understood it, this whole RawlKaw thing is based in NA. So it doesn't really bother me at all.

Every since TTC became a thing I rarely buy things from Rawl'. I've also have the TTC cilent so that when I sell my goods they also get brought pretty fast.

So my guess is there are quite a bit of other players using TTC.

As i also uses master merchant and can see if prices are reasonable I tend to use TTC only then shopping for gear and other stuff who can be hard to find. Also checking prices for expensive and rare items.

I bet a high percentage of the players do.

Rawl'kha btw, is the most popular spot in the game due to its convenience. Traders, bank, mount trainer, and everything else is right around the wayshrine.

I periodically join a guild in Rawl'kha so I can sell stuff for higher prices. When I am in that guild, I will also buy from that guild because purchases count towards my minimum contribution. Otherwise, I always use TTC for anything uncommon.

I will check any vendor I'm near though for underpriced mats, like any style mats < 15g.

You can access your guild from any bank - you do not need to know where the trader is.

For non guild members they need to know what is available for sale in your guild; that is where TTC comes in.

To be honest it is less important where you have a trader and more important that you actually have one, after that TTC will pick up whats for sale and anyone looking for the item(s) will know where to go.

When I am looking to sell I just drop into the nearest bank and list my items in my guild.

When I am looking to buy I check my guild first - using the nearest available bank - if they do not have what I am looking for then I use TTC and travel to where I can buy. (There is a no looking to buy / looking sell rule in guild chat)

I use TTC website, but find it of limited use. I say something like, "Hey, I wonder what guild traders have Pyandonean helmet motif at reasonable prices?" TTC tells me this, but it seems like 90% of the time, item is no longer at guild trader when I actually go there in the game. Maybe I just buy a lot of stuff with quick turnover?

I do find it very useful for selling. Like, "I have an extra Pyandonean helmet motif. I wonder what these are going for?" TTC is good for that.

I only use it if I am looking for a unicorn. Everything else, I already know what the price should be. Forget using TTC for bargain hunting, either the listings were bogus in the first place, or snapped up already.

Also, I dont need to know what price something is listed for, it matters more what price it sold for.

Most of the time, TTC is completely useless for me. More often than not is shows me items that were just bought. I usually have to work through two or three pages of entries before I find any that are actually still in the guildstore.

Uh...what? Just because we use a tool that shows us where better deals on things are means we "don't care" about a certain zone's guild traders? That makes no sense whatsoever. People aren't going to ignore better prices at other traders just to support the traders of a specific zone. If Rawl'kha has better prices then I'll go there. If not then I won't. Pretty much anyone else is going to tell you the same thing.

Constantly. I've used it practically from when I started since the trading system is so bad in this game. We're lucky to have these modders fixing ZoS' poor decisions, but it's sad they have to. Thank you TTC! <3

That is kind of backwards thinking. Using TTC is the lazy way to go about finding an item you want. I use it for really rare items but for most stuff I just hit a few hubs to find what I need.

I actually noticed that the overall prices of many of the high exposure traders have dropped quite a bit ever since TTC became more mainstream.

It seems the added competition has already forced those big trading guilds to adjust their overinflated prices.

Either way, the hostile takeover is still a brilliant move ...

I have no idea what's going on with traders in Rawl'kha right now except that people on the forum keep talking about it, and I think it's on an NA server anyway so not really anything to do with me.

But I do use TTC for buying. It's not ideal, as other people have said the best prices are often gone by the time you get there, but even if it takes a few attempts to find an item that's still for sale and it's not as cheap as the website said it could have been it's better than picking traders at random and hoping they happen to have the item/s you want, or going to a city hub where you can only count on finding commonly traded items (because they're all under pressure to sell as much as possible as fast as possible or get kicked from the guild) and usually at higher than average prices because they know people will take it to save time.

When my guild has a trader I also upload our sales and sometimes scan other traders I visit. I'm not sure how much difference it makes to our sales but I feel like since I rely on that info to buy stuff the least I can do is contribute to it, especially since it's largely automated on PC so I just have to tab out of the game for a bit while it scans.

However I still use Master Merchant to get price data as I find TTC, by relying on current listings instead of sales, tends to inflate prices. It misses items which sell really quickly and includes ones which are so over-priced they're never going to sell. So I stick with MM which might have a smaller pool of samples but at least uses ones which sold.

I think the OP is referencing some drama that's going on with one of the NA servers and the guild traders in that city. I'm not sure of the details because everyone discussing it in topics I've read seems to assume everyone else already knows and I'm not interested enough to go out of my way to find out.

But I think this topic is about that specific situation, rather than whether or not you buy from traders in Rawl'kha normally.

    @Danikat

Someone made 5 guilds (and even named them aptly) and took over all 5 traders in Rawl'kha and the only items listed at each trader are 30 of the same base material for 50k each.
