If I dont play for x days, will they send me x messages or do I have to log in every 24h to collect the items?

I think they will continue to collect and send to you whether you have opened the previous mailing on not.

Yes they will. mail with mats comes every 24 hours no matter if you play or not

Thanks, but I guess its worth noting that mails decay after 30 days, so its probably capped to 30 days?

Well it is. Nobody said that your e-mail will stay forever. I only said that they keep coming even if you dont play.

Yes, it is cumulative. They will send you crap at least once a day. I had several days worth of stuff backlogged because I forgot to check my mail. As far as I know the attachments don't expire. All mine were there.

Considering all the crap they've been sending me so far they kinda owe me heh heh

(Actually I do get useful stuff...I've gotten at least 2 tempers in the first three days...Hemming and Dwarven Oil)

My hirelings atm 2 /3 hired on my main, and I only ever get 1 item a day. Somethings wrong.

I have a question on hirelings... Do they generally send items based on your crafting level, or is the items they send dependent on the number of points you put into the hireling skill?

The reason I ask, is I have 2/3 on my blacksmithing hireling for my main right now. I'm on the orichalcum/dwarven ore tiers, and i receive orichalcum ores, tempers, whatever from my hireling. I was thinking about dropping 1/3 points into hireling on my bank/crafting alt just to double up on mats... But will they be sending me iron ore and just low level crap on that hireling if i don't level up his craft level past 3? Because i don't really have any interest in receiving more iron ore every day now that i'm crafting dwarven ore, ebony, etc.

After testing it with an alt I had a hireling on I can say this is not true or bugged. I didnt play the alt for over 48 hours but only received one mail

Agreed. It seems like the next shipment from your hireling comes 24 hours after you receive your current shipment, not every 24 hours like clockwork.

I wish it would always come 0:01 GMT, this way the time you receive it changes every time

Yeah way it seems to work is that there's a timer that after it reaches 0 it will trigger you receiving the mails with components the next time the character logs in. The mails do not appear until the character logs in, but you can take the mats out with any character on the account after it's arrived in the mail.

So you'd have to log in each character with a hireling once every 24 hours to keep receiving them. The 3rd point in hireling where it lowers the timer to 12 hours becomes kinda pointless for people that can only play once a day.They would likely not get two boxes each day just one.
