Typical of the week prior to major patches. They preload the data. Causes server strain.

It was never that bad and it keeps getting worse. A bit of lag sure but this is unplayable.

Ways to adapt to lag:
- don't use channels or cast times. You'll be sitting in a 4 second animation
- same goes for heavy attack and gap closer. Use raw Regen and direct DMG procs.
- memorize your combos.
- disable Nagel's algorithm if you are in the same continent as the region server.
- drop view distance to like 30 and everything down. Actually makes keep walls invisible from far away and you can see players inside too
- search your name on your guild roster. Or use the guild roster search addon (removes about 10 ping!)
- turn off sound and foot step sounds.
- disable all addons unless you need it. Turn off all DMG counters.
- make sure nothing is on in your windows background, including things like dropbox,, Google drive, anything trying to send out a signal. Turn off most windows permissions, especially those trying to use Cortana because it's trying to do web searches lol.

And most of all try to fight where your faction isn't. If you are DC and complaining about lag but are only fighting EP at Ales-bleaks-chal, it's time to ride to arrius/kingscrest to take a resorce. So what if you lose the keep, like you helping lag the server was going to help win it not to mention the map is trivial now that this game is garbage and competition is about as serious as bingo night at the old people's home.

And double most of all, stop running Zerg builds in triple tank sets. Die once in a while and explore mobilty as a defense! You'll have more fun.
