For as long as you've been in the game, @CleymenZero, you should have plenty of XP scrolls accumulated from the daily and leveling rewards ...
I agree that an event would be cool.
But an XP bonus to go along with it (after 5 continuous weeks of cake) borders on entitlement.4 -

✭You may have to use one of the 50 xp scrolls you probably have in storage, or XP pots.
I think these events are designed for CP gains so people can catch up (although people use the opportunity to level alts of course). I doubt they'd do it just when they drop a new class most people will be leveling.0 -

I love the "entitlement" comment. They pop everywhere uninvited and unjustified.
You say something would be cool, someone says entitlement. You have to think that this is all they see. We should do a poll to see what age group those entitlement comments come from. We could probably draw some correlations.
Now for as long as I've been in this game, I did accumulate a lot of scrolls. I also have leveled all my toons a long time ago so my perspective on them 5 week event is for crafting because I didn't see any use for XP. That must make me entitled right? I must be entitled to think that a 5 week double XP event eight before the release of a new class and no double XP once the class is released a bit funny.
I don't even think an event is necessary because we've had 500 in the last 3 months and I wish to play the Necromancer class and not do chores for a week. I just thought that it would be more useful to have one now vs having had one when a lot of the player base didn't need it (although there were a lot of console and WOW transfers).
