What would you rate summerset?

Summerset had a better storyline and more appealing environment to me, personally. It also brought back a number of favorite, lovable characters. The story felt longer and more involved than Morrowind, which felt incredibly short if you stuck solely to the main quest. I'd give it a solid 8 or 8.5. Morrowind would probably be a 7.

    10/10 for crafting.

I can do basic crafting on 11 characters, rapidly pulling in 50k gold. It’s all in one room, and it’s an activity I can do on my laptop while watching tv with my wife. I get “you weren’t in your library all night” points, since I only need the desktop for the fighting portion of my ESO gameplay, and the pc addon for crafting making most of it automatic means I can actually follow along with what the tv or she says.

Well we get new skill line and jewelry so it worth the money spent.

Questline are good beside the psijic quest wich feel like a dam chore. The kind of chore mobile game let you skip with $

The zone is just another dam forest like 90% of this game. At least summerset is bright and not some dark zone again.

For my anjoyement I'd say a 6 but for the value jewelry + new guild bring its an 8.

Overall, I would give in a 9 for being enjoyable. Story was good, nice interesting new creatures, lovely beach areas, and beautiful country side. Psijiic line wasn't the best, but I still enjoyed it and definitely like the Psijiic portals that I now can find all over Tamriel. I do craft jewelry, but they have made Zircon almost impossible to get enough to decently craft :/ As to the Trial...cannot give an opinion on that since I don't do trials and am mostly a solo player.

All in all, for me a 9...its become my new home base, since the beauty of the area always relaxes me.

    8/10

Story was great, quest design excellent, landscaping beautiful, and I loved the Psijic skills and quests.

Docked two points for using the same architecture for every city in the entire province though, even Alinor. And for ignoring all existing lore about Alinor architecture without providing their reasoning. I'm sure it's as simple as "the engine wasn't capable of that" but it would have been nice to hear from the art time why they opted for bland grey stone towers absolutely everywhere.

Looks like they've learned from that lesson by making Elsweyr only set in Anequina though. Same game size, but fewer cities to create architecture for. So now when they do finally get around to cities like Corinthe, Torval, and Senchal, they won't have to be copy/pastes of Rimmen.

mostly better but let down by the lack of diversity in the environment and the boring as hell run around the 'old world' Psijic line & I'm sure I've killed that damn cat several times already (talk about nine lives, he just keeps popping back up everywhere!)

I'd give Summerset a 7/10. The setting and overall look of the island is great. The main quest was ok, but became tedious at times. The side quests and stories were well done and quite interesting or funny at times. Some world bosses were great and some were dull. The dungeons were well done and I liked that many of them have quests inside them. The Psijic skill line was interesting at first but became a mind numbing grind quickly, (at least for those of us who've been around for awhile and have explored most of Tamriel.) Although I'll admit all of my characters did at least the first stage of the Psijic skill line so any of them can pick up the Psijic rift loot. Finally as for Jewelry crafting, that became yet another hellish grind fest. (Be careful what you wish for.... ) I did use the craft to make and improve a few items but mainly I collect the mats, refine them and then sell the stuff on our guild vendor for gold.

As a story zone, the Summerset location and quests are 10/10. In addition there are beautiful new furnishings, motifs that can be found in chests or fished up, and gorgeous areas to spend time fishing and gathering. Both of the public dungeons were well designed. For what it is, the Cloudrest mini raid is worth the time it takes to run and offers challenges that can scale from casual pug groups to elite veteran raiders.

As a chapter however, Summerset was underwhelming and overhyped. Jewelrycrafting remains buggered to this day, and as others have mentioned, the Psijic questline wasn't much of a story.

On a scale from 1 to 10 what would you rate summerset in enjoyment? I'm downloading the game again and haven't played the game in ages and I'm thinking of getting summerset.

    I"d give it a 6.

It looks good and it has one of the coolest characters mixed in with the story. But the quest bosses were a joke and Summerset suffers from the same decline in challenging game play that the rest of the landscape content does. So that really hurt my enjoyment of the quests. Also: and unlike most everyone else it seems - I wasn't very impressed with the Psijic Skills. But I don't regret buying it.

I thought it was kinda fun. I've only completed it once, but I've done it partially on two other characters.
The end fight gave me a slight frustration headache since I finished the questline on a low-level character whose class I was not accustomed to playing (sorc), but overall I enjoyed it.
Although, I will admit that the Augur had a lot to do with that.

    It looks great.
    The main storyline is enjoyable
The delves are significantly different from one another
    The WBs are genuinely dangerous
    The public dungeons are OK
The side quests and museum quest are fun
Jewellery crafting is very poorly implemented
I liked it more than Morrowwind, so that’s progress.

    On those it’s a solid 7/10

    On the other hand

The Psijiic Order questline is one of the most tedious and badly implemented in the entire game. Absolutely no fun for a set of skills almost no one actually uses. Lazy steppen-fetchit makework with no payoff.

On this it’s minus several million/10

1/10 for the jewellery crafting, if i was not a pvp player mainly (more transmute stones ) the skilline will be almost worthless.
Master writs unless are 400 + voucers (kinda in line with 110 tikets master writs for other professions @8-900 g per voucer) are too expensive.
Upgrading a jewel at 70k gold per epic and 340k gold per legendary is just a joke.
The psijic order grind is better than the mageguild and fightersguils for shure (the augur is really funny sometimes).
Quests are cool and daily bosses are well done and entertaining.

At the end a solid 7/10 for me.

For me 8. One point is lost because as an altmer i was forced to help outsiders enter summerset and side with them against other altmers. The second point is lost because i feel like the resolution in Summerset is somewhat inferior compared to other areas like Murkmire.

Still it's a really great expansion and the main quest is epic. In particular the characters in the main quest feel "real" and are really well done making you care for them and their destiny.

Still i wish for more player impactful choices to distinguish it from other players. Let me get different rewards on the base of what i side with.

I enjoy it too. Very interesting story. I make my own entertainment harvesting and fighting, and visiting old places, while riding around looking for the rifts. Done it about a dozen times now including the goes I had on PTS.

And one big bonus with the Psijiic questline is that you don't have to talk to any of the superior-yet-hypocritical High Elves of Summerset. That's the big drawback for me in the Chapter. It makes nearly all the side quests really uncomfortable experiences lacking in any entertainment value. Love the rest of it.
