On a scale from 1 to 10 what would you rate summerset in enjoyment? I'm downloading the game again and haven't played the game in ages and I'm thinking of getting summerset.

Great story line, a lot of cool places to explore (the island is beautiful), Psijic skill line has good skills, you get jewelry crafting, and a new trial with BiS gear for some setups. I probably forgot something else that's nice :)

All in all, there's something for everyone to enjoy in Summerset and I'd say it's a must to have for an ESO player.

I think overall it is great, but Psijic Order is not as powerful and mysterious as I thought, and the guild storyline is the worst...well not including Undaunted.

Maybe a 7. Quests are good as always but the Psijic skill line is a pain in the [snip] to get. And to be honest I never finished that skill line. It's way to grindy for me, and boring.

8, probably. The map and the quest storylines within Summerset itself were excellent, but the whole Psijic questline weighs the expansion down.

8-9/10 for me: there is a new skill line and jewellery crafting (though admittedly they're both very grind-y), the main story is engaging, and the lanscape is incredibly beautiful. For the overland content, the WBs are pretty tough, and there are new type of dolmens. Then there is the Clourest trial as well, which even if someone don't enjoy that kind of content so much, has some of the best gear for healers and DDs which can be attainable from normal mode. Personally, I also loved one of the realms seen during the main quest, called the Sloads' Mindscape, it was really well-designed in my opinion, and very different from what we've seen so far in the game. One thing I was a bit disappointed with was Altmer architecture and society; though still really beautiful, I expected the former to be more etherial, and the latter to be more magical (though that could be a Lord of the rings influence on my part), I think those two aspects were better handled for dark elves in Morrowind in contrast.

I like how people call things a "Scam", if they happen to not like it... You'd think a scam would be buying something, only to get nothing out of the purchase.

Anyway, my rating for Summerset... Pretty locales, interesting quests, delves were nicely made, and it was nice to explore the place. Certainly a stark contrast in vibrancy compared to other zones.
I really liked the time-travelling hedge maze quest. Certainly spent quite a while there, either due to being confused or because of trying to find something there. Didn't really care much for the story quests though.

I disliked the conclusion of the quest down at the masked comedian town (Can't remember the name right now), mostly out of spite because i really hated the reaction from people who did the quest (Hashtags Stunning and Brave. *** off with that).

With all that in mind, I'll rate it... An eight. Points redacted for me not caring much about the main story quests, and for the virtuous reaction to a dumb quest.

Summerset has been my favourite expansion. I was massively looking forward to Morrowind, but it did not meet my expectations, I guess revisiting somewhere I spent so much of my time years ago, was always going to be a big ask to give that same or similar experience, especially in an MMO (I still enjoyed it).

So, Summerset has for me one of the most enjoyable landscales, storylines, world bosses and delvs. Not to mention you dont just get Summerset of course, you get Arteum and more story etc there which is also really enjoyable (though unlocking the Psijic skill line is... time consuming, to put is politely).

I said I wouldn't buy it and eventually I did, to get jewellery crafting.

Jewellery crafting is a night mare.
    The zone has no mats.
I lost interest in the psygic questline.

Most of my enjoyment came from Wayshrines. These took my somewhere more satisfying.

You do know that when Summerset came out, they made Morrowind chapter a DLC?
You do know that Elswyr is out on 4 June?

I wasn't playing when Morrowind came out. But I got when I pre-ordered Summerset, and I gotta say I like Morrowind more than Summerset, the zone and delves look great, the quests were fun as well. As close to original Morrowind as it goes in ESO.

But yeah, Summerset. I like the zone too, though the "peachy-sunny heaven" mood is a bit overdone. The quests were ok too though sometimes bit silly, personally I don't like the delves and public dungeons in it, unlike in Morrowind.
So I'd rate Summerset 7/10 and Morrowind 9/10.

Much better than Morrowwind, mechanics and game play wise it felt like we were getting a buff.
Nice sets came out that were easily obtained by all players to up their damage.
The area looks beautiful and the quests were fun.

The only thing I'd take away from it are.
Servers are very laggy since, multiple loadscreens in Alinor.

    9. Summerset is stunnimg. The queslintes are fun. I did the psiijic questline on 8 characters and Im happy that I did. The psiijic questline takes you to many areas around Tamriel and you pick up lots of wayshrines so why not?

The bosses there are also fun aswell as delves and dailies. I love the scenery it's so beautifup you dont want to leave 😊
There's also some great achievement furnishings to collect simply via questing.

You wont regret getting summerset 😊😊😊

The main quest is great. 9/10

The Psijic line was made by the same sadist that gave us the Mage Guild Lore books. 1/10

Cloudrest, it is actually enjoyable, good sets, but it is not a full trial, I'd give it a 10 if it was, 7/10.

Jewelry, collect 10 pieces of garbage, to make 1 slightly better piece of garbage. -5/10.
    If trait items did not suffer from the 10 : 1 garbage system;
If certain non-summerset style items (Glass, Casserite, etc) did not suffer from the 10 : 1 garbage systeml
If ONLY the Plate had the 10 : 1 garbage system then it would be unique, understandable as to difficulty, but it isn't unique, it just more clutter to a game, which is sad.

    12/40. So I guess I'd give about a 3/10 as a whole.

Yes, pretty much a 9/10. Thinking back to the psijic grind, it's tiresome if you are in a hurry to level it. Jewelry crafting gives the game an added features except it's expensive, mats and time wise. Worth it if you want to transmute existing jewelry.

Story was really good, and the dailies haven't gotten boring yet and it's been a while since it came out. geysers are pretty good too, and the place is just beautiful.

    Main Quest - 4 out of 5
On the whole, a well-written and engaging conclusion to the Daedric Triad story arc. That said, some of the story decisions felt a bit questionable lore-wise and it felt like there were two competing narratives that each deserved its own singular story arc. The sload are interesting enough to warrant their own spotlight independent of daedric machinations.

    Side Quests - 5+ out of 5
The side quests were impressive in the Morrowind chapter and this tradition solidly continued in Summerset. Each and every one of these quests are memorable. Delves continue to have their own associated stories and various regions their own particular lore. Summerset's side quests are a cut above even Morrowind, tackling issues that I rarely see addressed at all in video games. At this point, the only thing that could improve the quality of writing in this game is to allow more RPG structure in how quests are scripted. By that, I mean allowing for more branching quests and player choice that impacts how the story is told. With the quality of quests the team is turning out these days, I have zero doubt they could accomplish this and deliver some of the most solid RPG material ever written for gaming.

    Worldspace Design - 5 out of 5
Whatever team is doing the landscaping design work in this game continues to impress. The world space of Summerset is distinctive and beautifully crafted, with an attention to detail and placement of objects that continues to exceed that of the base game. This is best enjoyed in first person perspective, and it brings a strong level of immersion to roleplayers like myself. The downside is that rendering is occasionally an issue for these newer worldspaces, but the team seems to have gotten a better handle on this.

    Psijic Order - 3.5 out of 5
Comparing this to similar joinable factions in the game, this content is middle of the road. While easily more engaging than the Fighters Guild or Mages Guild of the base game, it falls short of being as interesting as the Dark Brotherhood or Thieves Guild. The storyline is suitable for the Psijic Order, but its execution lacks the colorful casts of the aforementioned factions. As much as I personally don't mind world exploration to hunt down pieces of the Staff of Chaos, players rightly criticize this. The Psijic Order probably needed it's own content expansion to give it more room to breathe if development deadlines were what compromised its richness compared to Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild.

    Jewelry Crafting - 1 out of 5
A much demanded feature was all but ruined by poor implementation. Instead of designing this crafting skill to be in line with other professions, the developers decided to make it borderline useless to all but the most addicted and obsessed players of this game (well, them, and the scum who violate ToS with botting). The grains to platings system is among the most misguided design decisions in the history of the game, and the inability to get new traits except through transmutation probably the second most misguided decision in the history of the game. If you like having generic white or green crafted jewelry, that's about all most players can get out of the system if you don't PvP or farm like a maniac.

    9. It's the best expansion since Morrowind. The environment is amazing-looking, and the quests have some of the best stories/writing I've seen in a long time. The main Summerset quest-line is great. The world bosses are all interesting, too.

    Also, jewelry crafting. :)

*Edit* Forgot to mention the Psijic order. The Psijic skill line isn't as great as I wanted it to be, and it's super grindy. If this part was better, I would have given Summerset a "10," but the Psijic line brings it down to a "9."

I give the island itself, it's appearance, the furnishings that came along because of it, and some of the gameplay there a 10. I enjoy it and often go there to ride around and have fun.

But I can't say I really liked the questlines themselves, and I really feel as though the Psijic skill line could have been more interesting. So far it's really just something to buff the kit on certain characters a bit and nothing more.

Though Raz gets a 10. Raz always gets a 10.

As a new player to ESO, I started with Summerset as my default location. After comparing the Daily Delve quests to Those From Morrowind, I prefer the Summerset daily Delve quests as they are easily soloed when compared to the VVardenfell (Morrowind) Daily Delves. Also, the turn in location is much simpler as you pickup and turn in to the same NPC in Alinor versus individual NPC turnin's in Vivec City.

The Alinor Crafting area is very well organized IMO and makes for easy daily crafting writs.

I will say that having to enter the bank building in Alinor (Load screen) is a negative IMO compared to the bank in the open in the Vivec city crafting area.

The Bag space upgrade vendor is right out in the open in Alinor. I still have not found it in Vivec City.

There are Vendors (Some traveling) that you can find thru out the Summerset map, so selling trash items/repairs is very easy. I have not noticed any on the Vvardenfell map.

So Overall, I'd say 8 or 9 for Summerset as I am hesitant to give anything a 10 rating.
