I PuG'd a random vet dungeon last night and landed in WGT. We blazed through as we should since we were all 810+. At the end the tank and healer both entered in group chat GG DPS! It was a small token of appreciation, but it really made me feel happy (and I'm sure the other deeps too). I've always been confident in my DPS role but I never expect praise. I'm usually the one saying wow...great heals! or GG tank you're a beast!

In a perfect ESO world all players would know their role and execute at a veteran level but as we know this is not always the case...

The power of a small but positive comment can do wonders to our communities confidence thus making our random experiences better, imo. Do you ever give praise to your random group after a quick and efficient clear whether it be a vet dungeon or quick crag trial, etc.?

95% of the time I type in "GG" (Good Game) but I always give credit where credit is due if a certain role is on the level.

If the dps points their weapons in the proper direction and do 4k+ dps, I thank them at the end. If the tank has a taunt slotted and uses it, I thank them at the end. If the healer has a heal slotted and uses it on the group from time to time, I thank them at the end. You'd be surprised how often I leave at the end without saying a word.

When tanking or DDing, if we complete the event, everyone gets a Good job. On a clean run everyone gets a /cheer, also.

Usually Good Game but it's also used in place of Good Job at the end of a delve.

If everyone did their roles, or genuinely tried to, then I usually do. Though, I avoid saying "GG" since that always sound so sarcastic to me :|

I'm a firm believer in the carrot and stick method.
I give props where it's due and ridicule you when you mess up.

Take a PUG run of vCoS run I had awhile back. No one would bash the boss when I was tied down, usually resulting in a wipe since they weren't great players, obviously and couldn't stay alive to save their lives so I call them out on it. One DPS slotted Crushing Shock to interrupt the adds to free me and I praised them for their initiative after actually being able to block the boss to survive his attacks now. However, since the other 2 were still beyond useless, we ended up disbanding when we were still unable to clear it, despite the 1 DPS's best efforts to stay alive to interrupt adds (minute useful DPS went down, 2 useless people left him down forever and we'd end up wiping as a result). I gave the useful player praise (even gave them a perfect roe) and told the other 2 players to git gud before we disbanded.

Iv never really thought about thanking someone individually. To me a good DPS/heal/tank is doing what he is supposed to. I thank everyone for the run though.

To me it's more of a PvP thing. Like great match or great BG. But I guess it fits just as well with dungeons and trails.

Well... technically yes? As a contracted artist I am often tasked to make characters, crowds, environments and the occasional prop here and there, and I do have to give them to the next artist... so yes, I do give props.

Oh... you meant a different type of props?

I use GG after killing someone in a duel mainly....Easier then GF

With dungeons I enjoy the conversations and burn stuff down. I always give a congrats at the end and then we go on our merry ways. Though they tend to follow me around because I do 'fungeons' as we call them with my friends and guildies. :)

Pugging upon the rare occasion that it happens, I always say hello and something nice at the end.

Being polite and mainly friendly is what is so nice about the eso community.

I always say a minimum of “gg” wether they were good or not as long as we finished.

I’ll type out full words when I’m sincere/impressed/was struggling myself. Like “nice nice nice!” “Great group!” “Ty all happy hunting!”

Always do a GG, even if it wasn't a stellar effort. As a DPS, if the tank and/or healer does a great job, I call them out specifically in the chat. Like "Killed it tank" or something like that.

I went into vBC II going for HM. We pugged the tank from one of my guilds. Even though we only need 3 Daedroth, tank was able to hold 8 of them. I asked him what setup he was running, as he did a very nice job, and found he had Tank gear but with weird traits like Invig. I would deffinatly run with him again and added him to my friends list.

I do say gg to our group wne we finish a dungeon or sometimes other players say it. I also say gg to new players where it was their first try at the dungeon and they finish it ....even if they died a few times or not. They had a go that is always important to me. Anyway it"s not upto me to judge who is a good player or not we have all sorts in eso and that is what makes it interesting.

I generally say tyfg. Occasionally I’ll thank the tank if they’re good at stacking mobs. I admit I never know if the healer is any good.

The way to know that a healer is good is.... you don't notice that they're bad. Healing and tank seem pretty thankless because if they do their job right you won't notice anything.

And yeah, I give props. I like to either give the group a pat on the back if we kicked ass or will give extra encouragement to someone who was new, trying their best, and did well.

I always say hello at start and after finish i cheer and say thank you before i say goodbye.

Most of the time its only me and my bf that do so though.
I actually dont really care how good they are performing as lomg as they try their best its good enough for me. i like when people wait or check if others are following and small things like that just makes it more relaxing then the gogogogogo crowd imo :)
