Well, if it's a really cool name and can be considered collector, i guess just rush to pick alliance and class and save it, can be done in like 3 seconds
then just buy a race change and take the time to make the character the way you want

If it's already taken then you simply add a second name and you're good to go.0 -

What are you even talking about? You either make a new character, or rename an existing character, with the name you want. Then right before you make your necro (or after if you really want to be safe and dont mind spending an extra change token), You then rename the first character, thus freeing up the name, and then quickly make/rename your necro. Where is the exploit? There is always the chance that someone will steal your name in the few seconds it takes to make/rename your necro, but its probably a pretty low probability.1 -

Don't delete and make the new character the first day. The first day is when most will be trying to name them.

✭✭✭✭✭I have two names in mind for a necromancer. One is already 'saved' because the character already exists, I'm just thinking about re-making him as a necromancer. Although it's also not the kind of name which is likely to have much competition - Sayel (for a bosmer).
The second one was already taken on PC EU on the PTS, but that might just be a PTS character. I'm not trying to save it because I haven't decided yet if I want to make the character, and because I have 4 variants I'm trying to choose between. The one that's closest to being spelled 'correctly' is taken, but I'm not sure it's the one I like most. Names are released when you delete the character but the chances someone will make a character with exactly the name you want in the time between you deleting one and making a new one are a lot lower than the chances they'll take it in the time between the expansion being released and you getting time to sit down and make your character, unless of course you can be online right when the update goes through and there's no problems with logging in or staying connected.PC EU player | She/her/hers | PAWS (Positively Against Wrip-off Stuff) - Say No to Crown Crates!

Mostly because I make good use of the feature of last-names, and if one name doesn't work, I try a different one
