Call it the "Nightflower Tavern Maid" or "Dockside Tavern Maid" costume, and sell it again with the OP suggested changes!
So many RP opportiunities (and not just ERP)

I second this. Another costume that looks similar but is a different one. Make the skirt shorter, add some sturdy boots and a bandana and call it the Pirate Wench Costume or something.
Just don't change the Tavern Maid Costume for it. It's for someone who works in a tavern. Not traipsing around the world looking for adventure and fights.

    More costumes doesn't hurt.
[Lie] Of course! I don't even worship Daedra!

I'd like to see the costumes sliced up so that you could use the parts in the outfits system. They did that to some extent themselves, as some costumes are mix-and-match parts from others. Let us do it, too.

Read this, re-looked at the modified picture thought. Oh, well now. Not sure why, but does Tameriel have areas similar to Nevada's Bunny Ranch / Mustang Ranch area...

Hey not to single you out cuz your not the only one, but what is up with everybody reacting like this? Are folks really saying an outfit that exposes calf is considered revealing?

I don’t see a problem with having more costume variations aside from the crown cost. Figure 4-7 $$ a pop, you don’t have to sell many to make up for the artist’s time and start looking at profits.

Nah, it was just how I read it, and re looking at the modified picture, reminded me of some old 1800 brothel gals. Which considering today's standard of trend and clothing. Extremely tame. Even in art / game design. Not saying its a bad thing, just a rando thought. I am all for some more leg being shown.

Most of my costumes in Wildstar included Mastermind Chaps.
    o0r89U6.jpg
Bugged medium pants which had heavy chest skin and as result removed underpants when used as costume piece.
Something similar for ESO would be nice.

Yeah, a floor-length dress would be a terrible idea for working in a tavern. It would get stepped on and caught on all sorts of things and probably lit on fire at least once.

Also, when did a knee-length dress become slutty? Besides, if you are bothered by "slutty," what about the fang lair chestpiece, graht-climber active wear, the nord towel thing, the sand-kissed salwar ensemble, sai sahan's chest piece, and half the argonian costumes?

You may be clumsy when walking but a waitress or a waiter must be able to move swiftly and with agility. 'cause, you know they need to be able to serve a lot of people quickly.

Oh and, it's not difficult to move while wearing a robe. It's difficult to run when you're wearing a robe. Guess what, you don't need to run when you're a waiter/waitress.

Sure. In basic run of the mill taverns, pubs, restaurants.
Ever witness a Waiter / Waitress in an actual popular crowded tavern/bar/pub/restaurant with multiple intoxicated individuals? They are not quick, agile, nor nimble they are overly cautious and dexterous, moving with care to not bump or get bumped into by stumbling consumers, wearing modestly flexible clothing to not get caught up on, stepped on, snagged by or grabbed to cause them to lose balance. They move in a timely manner and must adapt to the different rush times.

I'm curious, when did a knee length dress become slutty? How prudish do you have to be to equate showing a little bit of leg as slutty? Go back to WoW? Never played it. How about go play some mormon game or something? Since we are telling folks to get lost over a difference of opinion.

I guess the OP sounded like wanting to change the one costume when making a second unique one with the difference is a much better idea. I wouldn't even mind it if the kneelength was a bit more expensive like 1k, they could add some more jewelry like bangles and a waist chain.

Why even give it to us if not for the purpose of playing the game (adventuring) in it? When was the last time you saw a player actually go into a Tavern not because of a quest?

When I saw the datamined image I didn’t see the red section, I thought it was like the modified image and bought it as soon as it was available without even checking.
As a woman who wants to look good (at least in game lol) it actually really got my back up when I thought that the dress had been lengthened.

Part of the reason I thought it had been lengthened was remembering what happened to the original Redguard female shirt. That used to be my favourite top and...anyway, not to turn this into a complaint post, I have the current version of the dress and I would buy the shorter version.

At least do it for the max body mass Orsmer.
