Bought a vmol carry a while back as I wanted the skin for my dunner, had alot of gold and 0 interest in pve/trials.

100k gold to each of the players doing the carrying.

I can understand helping out a disabled player with a carry but that's really the only reason I can come up with why this garbage should even be tolerated.

So less of a carry and more playing the content for them with their character.

In essence, their character is capable of completing the content, but the player didn't have the skill.

The disabled players I know can easily provide the carry, and honestly some do. Me on the other hand. Not so Much. Sure I can dish out the DPS for Vet Dungeons and Trials easily, but... yeah I am lazy and to busy being klepto gal trying to knock people off cliffs in Cyrodill to really be bothered with that nonsense

Would I buy a carry? Absolutely not. I like to work for my achievements. Have I helped people get things like skins, dyes, whatever? Yes. Mainly guildies that have already tried there darndest to get them, but just couldn't. (Due to health problems, age, exc)No gold exchanged.

Each to their own. I don't garner any sort of lasting pride from any game. Once the game is switched off or I have moved on to another game, the last game and the people within that game are nothing but faceless memories that get thought about for the grand total of zero minutes. So I have no problem with folk paying for carries. Their game, their time so their rules if it falls within the ToS. Do I feel good if I have worked towards a difficult feat in game, yeah, but that feeling soon fades and not something I would deem worthy of a boast. More important stuff in life to worry about than how some faceless guy, controlling an avatar got some cosmetic item or what they think about me.

Some people really do put too much stock into what others think about them in any given virtual world. Unless you're making a mint from the game as a by-product (streaming etc) by simply doing above average stuff, then it's all worthless garbage. 10 years from now, this game will be but a distant memory I suspect for many people in game and on here.

Nawww. No shame. It's a video game. The achievements accomplish nothing in real life for me. All paying for a carry does is reward players who are so well versed they don't need that 4th or 12th person and I get something I want that I have no more time to do but still want.

i've bought time of 2 competent players for an achievement for me and my wife

when i was totally pissed off by continuous wipes because of not-that-good ones in our party.

on other hand i can't even remember how many times we've sold carry runs ourselves =D

I use to be mad at people who would parade in Maw skins who got carried when I was in the middle of a progression group earning ours but once finally getting it, I changed my mind. I even paid for other people to get the MAW skin as a gift. I think that is why groups who complete these trials don't care about carrying and sharing the skin.

Now I will be impressed if someone does something in real life that deserves the attention but a video game? Naw. Don't have time for that.

People mostly buy carries because the social tools in this game are so atrocious.

Conversely, if we had better social tools for carriers to advertise their services, they’d have an uptick in business!

There's nothing wrong with paying in-game gold for a carry, especially with the cost of a carry. Here's the way I see it:

End-game isn't just trials. It's four-person content, PvP, trials, achievement completion, and trading. You can belong to one of those, or any combination of them, but if you are at a certain level in any of those categories, you're still end-game. If you can afford to pay for a skin carry, you've already reached end-game (barring those who just sold crowns to get the gold, but whatev...it's their money I guess), and you've earned your place in the game. I don't look down on someone just because they're in a different sub-section of the game than I am. I have buddies in PvP that just have zero interest in going through the process of gearing out and developing a character that can get through vDSA, but those weapons are so perfectly designed for PvP, they are willing to pay for the chests to get them. They are by no means incapable players (all high ranks and insanely good fighters), and if they had any real interest, they'd clear that content with no problem.

The only players I do look down on are the ones who buy their skins, then try to get in on other teams for an under cover carry by pretending to have legitimately cleared the purchased content. The end game raiding community is small. We know who buys skins and who gets buddy-carries. We see you...

Why do people get upset when others buy a run through a dungeon or trial, but don't bat an eye when they see the motif that's awarded from that same dungeon and trial for sale on a trader? Is that not another reward that someone was able to obtain in this content and is now selling it off to another player who didn't do the work to obtain it?

I would suggest you go on Facebook and ask there. ESO PS4 page on Facebook sells carries all the time and advertises. I am sure you could find someone on Facebook advertising for a carry and get more specific quotes on carries based on your server/platform.

It's too outrageously expensive for me to consider. Who the blazes has that kind of gold?

Also, I wouldn't use any of the stuff you get from it. The skins are all hideous from a role-player's perspective with the possible exception of the Dro'Mathra skin.

I should have added; while I don't understand, I don't think less of those who worked hard to grind the gold, because you're still playing the game, and at the end of the day, it's your gold and and your game. Sorry, didn't mean to come off high strung, was just speaking solely from my own perspective. :P It's actually decent of you to be bravely honest about it. Then less people fall for scams thru referrals, and those who want to get gold by doing what they're good at can get more business.

I think I saw vMoL going for 1.2 Mil, vHoF for 4 mil, vAS + 2 for 10 and vCR + 3 for around 12 mil in zone chat the other day. ^^

I don't even have 3 mil atm because I buy so many houses ^^ Hehe

@Wolfkeks Must be different on your server. I know vAS+3 is 3M, vMOL is 1M and vHOF is 2.(something)M and vCR+3 is indeed 12M (so the same as you) on PS4.

And everyone has their thing!

I enjoy housing but not THAT much. I would prefer to spend my gold on cosmetics.

How do you know someone is disabled who gets a carry?

Do you ask every single one of them?
