Yet another casual clothing Costume, yet another cosmetic being dragged upon the ground by would be adventurers.
The Tavern Maid dress has so much potential in it to be more than just a situational attire. I LOVE it's simplicity, its low cut shoulders, and that really pretty choker pendant. But then below the waist it follows in the design pattern of every other dress in this game. It falls to the ground doing it's best to trip up it's wearer and get dirtied in the muck and slime we adventure through. If you've seen any number of films where the adventurous heroine is forced to don a high society dress only to rip the bottom off to give her legs more freedom of mobility, you'll understand why I took a pic of the Costume into a photo editor.

✭✭✭There are short dresses already, and more will come with the addition of Khajiit racial costumes that you can already see on some NPCs! That said, I prefer the barmaid dress to look like a barmaid, not like... a lady of the night or something

My point wasnt to make it sexy, it was to make it look more practical and to remove the ugly side effect of what happens when a character wearing a full length robe/dress, runs/mounts. I mean, robes are common in Tamriel among traveling mages and the such. Another point is it's a game and yes, a tavern maid's dress wouldn't be practical outside of a tavern. It's not meant to be practical.2 -

How does one go back, if one has never been there before.
That said... i really do like the Tavern maiden dress. It actually looks like one if i would google it.

I always wanted a costume i could wear permanently that looked immersive but always came up short for what i was looking for. If the bottom half of the tavern maid dress wasn't there, this would literally be that costume. sigh
I hope they release at least one good one with Elsweyr.

Back when I played WoW, they had stopped making 'revealing' armor by Wrath or Cata. No idea if they went back the other way since.
I know that they came up with a transmog/outfit system since then, so people who liked that stuff could still use the ancient armor models.
But it's been a looooong time since I saw someone hold up WoW as the example of "slutty" (/eyeroll) armor. Usually it's TERA. Or just Eastern MMOs in general.2
