Im having an issue and here are the steps I have taken and what has happened to me.
1. I bought the game (upgraded version)
2. downloaded the setup client.
3. setup client tried installing the launcher but wouldn't show the loading bar so I restarted it and each time I did so the loading bar for installing the launcher went further until it completed I guess.
4. the setup switches to the launcher and it tries opening but gets stuck with the only thing on the screen saying "Loading" or "searching for application updates"
5. I open task manager and it shows that the launcher is not drawing and cpu at all.
6. I repeatedly open and close the launcher till I get it to force to the fully open launcher and there I have an install button to install the game, no matter what I do to that button I cannot get it to start installing the game at all.
7. repeated step 6 multiple times with the same result.
8. uninstalled the game completely and re installed it from scratch with the same results.
9. repeated this whole thing 7 times with nothing new or good happening.

Please help, I don't want to waste away 95 bucks (80 for the game and 15 for the sub). was hoping to at least be able to install the game :/. I really need some help here due to this being very stressful. thanks and good luck.

    Hey @Srg_Sparkelz‌

There may be something blocking the launcher from downloading the updates successfully on your machine.

Go to your Control Panel and click on "Internet Options" to make changes on the following two tabs:
    • Connections Tab: Click on the LAN Settings button. When the LAN Settings window appears, uncheck all the boxes and click on OK. Ensure that Automatic configuration Script and Proxy Server are disabled (unchecked)
    • Advanced Tab: Click on the Reset button, and then click on Reset again.

You can then restart your computer to ensure that the changes take effect, and then restart the game launcher.

Some modems may also have a particular feature (such as Turbo Page) that can prevent certain web-related services from functioning, including game launchers and website logins. This would need to be disabled.

Finally, make sure the ports below are open through your router.
    • TCP / UDP Ports 24100 through 24131
    • TCP / UDP Ports 24500 through 24507

You can try booting your PC up in Selective Startup just check to see if there may be a process that is blocking your Launcher.

To put your computer in selective startup mode, follow these steps:

    1) Click Start, and type msconfig on the search box
    2) Right click on the msconfig.exe program and choose Run as administrator
    3) To place your computer into selective start up:
    a. On the General Tab at the top, click on the Selective startup radio button
    b. Uncheck "Load startup items"
    4) Click on the Services tab at the top
    a. On the Services tab check the Hide all Microsoft services check box at the bottom
    5) Click the Disable all button at the bottom
    6) Click Apply, then click OK
    7) Restart your computer

When your computer boots up again, it will be in selective startup. Try the game again, and see if you have different results.

If it does indeed work you can one by one re-enable your processes to see at what point causes the error.
