Welcome back and you might want to rethink loading the game on Steam. Players who use Steam sometimes have issues getting in the game that seem exclusive to Steam.

You need to buy it again on Steam to own it there. You can just buy the standard edition and then link your ESO account to Steam, whatever DLC you have on your ESO account stays with your account even if you launch through Steam.

Note that you can't play when Steam is down ie. for maintenance even if the game server is live.

Just use it directly. The nice organization and stats Steam provides is not worth the headache of having to be aware of both Zos and Steam downtime.

I was like you once. I had a key outside of Steam and at one point I was able to play it with the Steam overlay to keep track of friends, hours played, screenshot publishing etc. It really not worth a dam when you can’t login because Steam is down but ESO is not.
