2 handed weapons uppercut morph question

So the uppercut ability stuns the opponent for 3.5 seconds. A morph option for uppercut is to reduce the targets damage for 6 seconds. Now if its a regular mob, you use uppercut and it stuns them for 3.5 seconds, does that mean for only the 2.5 sec after they will have reduced damage? Sure on mobs immune to stun it would last the full 6 sec duration but i dont see the purpose of this unless it starts after the stun wears off. The other alternative morph is after uppercutting and stunning the mob you get increased attack power for the next attack.

Does anyone else see this my way? like 99% of the mobs i kill are not immune to stun so it might seem like a waste. Anyone want to throw in their 2 cents.

Im a lvl 39 dragonknight and i picked the weapon attack power morph. after i knock them down i used stampede which always deals critical damage plus the 40 attack power, and .. has a stun. this is usually devastating Ive been loving this method and i think you should try it too

Same idea with my templar. If you have enough Stam, critical charge to close the gap and auto crit. Follow up with the increased damage morphed uppercut to knock the target away and prone. The crit charge them again for auto crit and bonus damage from the morphed uppercut. The problem is that the uppercut knockdown doesn't always work on bosses and most normal mobs die before you need to crit charge them a second time.

Is there maybe an add-on that lets you see a target's buffs/debuffs? I would like to know the answer to this myself being that I have this skill as well.
