Backbar for pet sorc

I have a Maelstrom inferno staff I have been using for my backbar on my pet Sorc. I have noticed it procs my llambris monster set more for fire.
When my Maelstrom lightning staff finally drops. Is it an increase to run it over inferno? And why?

✭✭In raids, someone is providing Engulfing Flames, which makes all fire damage hit harder. Plus, fire does proc the burning status. On a boss, it provides more single target damage, coupled with vMA fire staff and you're hitting like a truck.. Blockade is one of your strongest skills so it makes sense to put fire there.Edited by The_Lex on May 9, 2019 8:45PM5

✭✭In trials, I run back bar fire and front bar lightning. Fire synergizes better in a raid environment. Solo or small group, I go lightning back bar.1 -

✭✭Yeah, probably. If your healers are running lightning staff, then they are providing off-balance. Then it still might be good to run fire, but I haven't specifically tested it. ✭✭Even when parsing solo a fire back bar will out-do a lightning bar back. So in a trial or in a small group it won't be any different.
And yes its sad that the only damage element used in PvE is fire.0
