10k health is what you are going to have at cp 160, unless you specifically gear for health. just saying.
I picked up gear that droped...and it was usually worse that gear i had.
I played from complete fresh start and picked up waaaaaaaaaaay more gear than any newbie can dream of.
"Dont rush your leveling"....how exactly do you do that, to get any dropped gear you have to do stuff....which will level you. What doy ou suggest, to camp farm single delve boss until you get full set so you get the leas amount of xp possible?
And before your "go collect mats and craft"....yeah, that wont level your crafting, you crafting and deconstructing it is pretty much THE worst way to use your mats/level your crafting.
It seems to me pretty much all of you have forgotten how it is to start from scratch as a new player unfamiliar with the game.
You claimed characters have "as much health as tanks!"...which is completely false.

Maybe you picked up a light armor piece and the game compared it with a medium or heavy armor so you thought it's worse than your current gear.
I have a 2nd account that is used mostly for storage space. I have leveled two characters to fifty though just for fun. I have no CP on that account and I don't craft gear for the characters on that account. Granted I do know how to play the game but I am probably average at best.
First character about every ten levels or so I would do a couple of dolman and mess around in public dungeons a bit. The bosses mostly thumped me but if another player showed up I could get the drop when the boss died. Doing that kept me in decent gear.
2nd character I left in level 10 gear all the way to 50. Was fun struggling to kill things I can one shot on my main account. There is so many ways to keep up with gear in the game if you want to I really don't see this as being a problem. Enjoy the difficulty while you can. Doesn't take long before everything but a few bosses in overland falls over dead easy.
You claimed characters have "as much health as tanks!"...which is completely false.
at early levels? yes they do. it tapers down later on to a healthpool that looks more like what you are going to have at 160 cp gear, but early on? you are running around with 20k+
so i reiterate. gear is the LEAST of the issues with this game when it comes to new players, and just throwing even more gear at new players is NOT going to help them UNDERSTAND the game.
P.S. you do not need full sets of gear while leveling.
and seriously, when it comes to talking about new player experience - I'm speaking from watching my SO be that new player. he started out with ZERO cp. ZERO experience other then couple of false starts which where due to HOW MUCH THIS GAME SUCKS AT EXPLAINING ITSELF.
right now as he plays (mainly pvp) the game practically showers him with cp 160 gear.
oh and that 10k number (well slightly over it)? that's how much health my breton templar healer has before eating buff food. at max available CP. WITH undaunted passives. stop. focusing. on health. from gear. the problem is not that, the problem is that the game doesn't really explain that you are MEANT TO PLAY WITH FOOD BUFF. it just gives you couple of chicken meals as level up/log in rewards, but doesn't explain why you may need to use them, or seek out better food, or how to even tell what better food for your character is.

So you are not a NEW player then, are you?You claimed characters have "as much health as tanks!"...which is completely false.

Yeah at very early levels? What about the rest? The gear IS one issue, and i mentioned an easy solution since the system for it IS already in the game and USED as you get a choice of weapons on lvl 9/15/25/41. That would be short and easy term solution. Proper solution would be removing all level reqs for gear as its pointless and proper tutorial.
And you are definitely not "required" to play with food buff, where did you get that? Its a nice convenience, but i "require" food only for soloing vet dungeons, for everything below that its just nice convenience.
My base health at CP140 is exactly 10k, not more not less., again, you have to read, not just look at pictures.
You (more than you) have all been giving misinforrmation so far, from "buh-huh gear scales to lvl50 so its a non issue" to "you get heatlth as a tank all the way through!" and "stats dont deteriorate with levels!"

its like you are deliberately misreading what I say.
gear is a minor issue. a very. minor. issue. its NOT mininformation. again, to point out my SO's experience. by the time he got to cp160 - he was still wearing lvl 30 and 40 gear in half his slots. did fine.
if you don't like your health to be 10k and are not specificaly wearing gear with health on it? (which could also be lvl 30 gear) you are going to have to eat food. my current health on my nighblade main without food, at cp 954, with decent (relequen and hawk's eye) purple gear and undaunted passives is /drumroll 10667 exactly.
gear only drastically drops in effectiveness when you hit 160cp, and even then - you get so much of it, from so many sources, its at most - a minor inconvenience. prior to that? scaling does in fact compensate for some of the gear being underleveled
basically, what I'm saying is you put far too much importance on gear when it comes to new player experience, where I would bet most of the difficulties come from not having full understanding of passives, morphs, and other various game mechanics, becasue the game doesn't really teach you any of that.
veteran players who start new accounts with zero cp and no crafter to fall back on - still have pretty darn easy time and don't even upgrade their gear nearly as much as you would expect. becasue they understand how the game works.

Deconstructing your own creations, I would agree, not beneficial. Deconstructing stuff found or created by someone else works fine AND adds to your mats.
The serious crafter will go online researching each specific topic. "best method to improve provisioning" "best method to improve alchemy" etc. There is a LOT of good information. And some things can be raised to 50 in literally an hour or so. I've followed their advice. I have a master crafter with 50 in everything.
It works.
