Will they buff Magden?

In the foreseeable future, will they make Magden competitive in PvE? Maybe rework ice and give us ice-mage?

Or do you guys know of a Magden build that brings something unique. Because Magden for me is doing everything worse than sorc, nb, dk, templars.. with the same setup and also has a clunky rotation.

No, they already got their money. Now they want you to make necro, so make sure to order Elsweyr.

    Groupfinder:
The worst part is when it finally puts you in a group, your healer turns into a werewolf, your tank has 14k HP and the dps is heavy armor, using a restro staff and a two handed sword on the backbar. Then comes the 15 minute penalty before the cycle starts anew.

    Rulz of Morrowind:
    • The first rule of Morrowind is: You do not talk about Morrowind.
    • The second rule of Morrowind is: You do not talk about Morrowind.
    • Third rule of Morrowind: Someone yells NDA stuff, uploads images, streams, the game is over.
    • Fourth rule: only invited players can test.
    • Fifth rule: one invite at a time, fellas.
    • Sixth rule: crying or bashing on pts.
    • Seventh rule: NDA will go on as long as they have to.
    • And the eighth and final rule: If this is your first invite at Morrowind, you have to play.

We only get necro this time, no bgs or jewelry crafting. If Necro misses the mark like warden, its trouble.

I made a pvp healer who's ice stuff has group utility, especially in choke points. When you accept ice is a side gig only, you can start having fun with it.

We have increases magic and frost damage %6

    1 class frost damage skill.

%3 damage done per animal companions slotted. Shalks, Dive and fetcher do magic damage.

%8 minor berserk for slotting bird of prey

If they increased magic and frost damage to %10 would that make them competitive?

Maybe %4 or %5 damage done per every critter slotted?

It has been suggested maybe if fetcher infection had execute damage it would help.

Who knows. Maybe they’re just waiting to unleash something in the future.

It feels like they’re being deliberately held back a bit. They came out of the box gimped, then had to be re-worked to be almost ok.

Apparently they learned their lesson and Necromancer is set to open up OPAF. So I guess that’s good for Elsweyr..if you plan on buying it. There’s also a new trial that probably <%1 of the 10 million players might ever step foot in.

Maybe wardens get a little Love in a future patch.

Ice damage is looking to get a fairly significant nerf coming up, so I wouldn’t hold your breath on thinking that’s gonna ever be a real thing in eso.

Except for NPC ice mages. They hit very hard.

From what I've seen unfold about magdens I can tell you that you can suggest anything and all things under the sun and moon until you're blue in the face and you will see something polar opposite or completely left field idea happen instead, or the most common, nothing at all.

Magden built to leverage Ice and Immobilize used to be pretty decent. Very low DPS but very tactical play and offer great counter play for a lot of the horrible builds and play styles in PVP.

I've already de-conned my Gold Winterborne etc. Ice Mage is gone and a thing of the past with the upcoming release. I've been playing with a plain ol' Magden in PVP for the first time in a long time and it's pretty bad. They've had a long steady stream of nerfs and the upcoming release is no exception. Big damage and survivability nerfs.

I've been running Wardens since Day 1, but it is wave the white flag time and just moth ball my Magden, until things change. Could be a long time if ever.
