Hi ,hoping i can get some better advice here, i have only been playing since last November, i am an OAP so understanding is ltd. On main game i am Eli Wallace and on PTS i am Arf Riteus , just before patch 21 i was playing char on PTS saw msg saying game shutting down for maintainence so i logged off PTS. Made a smoke and coffee 10mins later i logged on to main game as EW , ran around doing stuff for about 30mins , went to wayshrine to go do some more exploration ,looked at locations and i saw Elsweyr so i jumped , sure enough i was in Elsweyr some 5mins later i was kicked out of game , i logged back into my main , i was still in Elsweyr again after 5 or so mins i was kicked out again. Made another smoke and coffee, waited till the patch was installed. Once it was i logged into PTS as AR char only to find once game opened up that i was no longer a lvl 28 mage with name Arf Riteus but was Eli Wallace lvl489 . So all my crowns are locked into PTS and are of no use as i wont play in PTS because of this issue.. I have sent in 4 tickets and recieved this reply ....Greetings,

I do not think my account is compromised , just a bit twisted. Has anyone else encountered this problem , can anyone advise as what i should do ?? ZOS ???

If you were playing a character on the PTS it has been removed since the last PTS maintenance copied the characters from the EU server to it so that EU players could use their normal characters to test the new content.

Sounds like your MAIN account was copied over to the PTS after the recent patch for PTS, ( Sadly you will have lost your PTS char AR, as they get wiped to make sure no names etc clash with the EU characters )

ZOS do this every 2 weeks or so, they copy over the NA characters for people to test and then the EU while anyone that created a char while the NA build was up will have been deleted when they copied over the EU build

As for the crowns ( I'm not 100% sure ) they should still be available on EW ( main ) but I'm not sure of you spend them on PTS you also lose them on main, someone will have to verify this

What you spend in Crowns on one server to purchase, is available account-wide, BUT only on that server. So if you purchased something with Crowns on PTS, it won't be available for your account on EU / NA servers. However you should have the same amount of Crowns available of other servers as well, until you spend them there.
Keep in mind that is what I've heard and read a bit on, so feel free to correct me.

thanks AK and Jamie.....i have just logged onto PTS with char ES as that is only option.. i have 5.5k of crowns , i can spend on PTS but as this is not my intention , whats the point? I have also noticed whilst in PTS that in my mail is 2 returned items that i had for sale on my main account , i have not taken them back. I went and logged onto my main char EW to check see if the goods were in his mail box , alas they are not. Now i expect someone to say take them, problem, on PTS as main i put something in storage chest at a residence, logged off , logged onto main and went to look see if i could see or even take out the object , lo and behold it wasnt there, check again char on PTS and it is...
I need my crowns on my main game not locked in PTS , i am also fearful of losing my returned items to PTS, i feel i need to stop all my sales on main game so as not to lose them.. FFS

ok... the crowns on pts are free crowns for pts ONLY if you have bought crowns on your main eu account they should still be there if not ticket it, but as far as the 5k crowns on pts that is say a gift from zos for pts only.
the mail of returned items happens to me and most of the time the items for sale on the main account are still in the guild trader so i would check there first and if it isnt then send them another ticket and maybe post it in the bug reports on forums.

Traveller.

Test Tamriel is a temporary plane of existence.

Nothing you do there, no crowns you spend there affect real Tamriel in anyway.

They should not disappear from your real crown balance. No items you send or receive or destroy on PTS should affect your real items in any way. It's a copy of reality - not reality itself.

If you put something in a box in Test Tamriel it won't then be in that box when you return to reality.

Bear in mind also that the character copies from both the EU and US servers usually happen several days before we see the copied characters in Test Tamriel and nothing that happens inbetween time will be reflected in Test Tamriel.

PTS is the public TEST server. It is not intended for actual gameplay but to test the game before certain updates are published on the live servers. Characters on the PTS are routinely deleted. From time to time characters from the live servers are copied onto the PTS so you can test characters you're more familiar with, but these too will be deleted eventually.
