question about the 'Arena' levers being pulled by "limited" visitors....

Question: is it normal for the LIMITIED visitors of the Elinhir Private Arena to still be able to activate the pit-trap levers ?

And if yes, shouldn't that not be allowed (for limited visitors) ? Because otherwise it's just constant lever traps over & over again by 20-25 players lol (which won't be fun if certain other players are trying to actually train PVP or duels below) . We're using this house as our guild-hall , so it could be problematic for Events & such.

So then is the only real difference between 'limited visitor' & 'visitor' just that players can't turn on/off lights?

Just wondering, thanks and sorry if this has been discussed before but i search the forums and only found a couple of un-related threads (that didn't mention this specific circumstance) , as well as a recent patch-note thread that changed perms for 'preview' of the house.

Yeah it seems to be a tricky one lol nobody knows , and tbqh i'm wondering if perhaps it's a BUG ( i suppose it couldn't hurt anything for me to just report it)

Oh also, side note but i couldn't find the answer to this question either yet: How does one know exactly how many of each type of deco item is allowed to be placed within the 'ARENA' ? cuz i noticed last night when i tried to place another mini-pet (was maybe the 5th of that type) the game wouldn't let me place it and said something to the effect of "You already have the max number of placed items of that special type"

But i couldn't figure out exactly where/how it shows what the max 'placed items' amount is, and does it vary per item catagory type? And per house type? (like, the 'Arena' can only have 250 items placed total or whatever the case may be)

Still hoping someone on these 'Housing' forums can answer my earlier questions. B)

    Thanks.

I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing that the reason they can do that is because the levers are an integral part of the house?

Like a door (that comes with the house) would be, too.

As opposed to an interactable furnishing (like a light), which can be added, moved, or removed.

People can, obviously, still open and close doors, even if they are Limited Visitors.

You could test to make sure the switches are integral, by seeing if you can highlight them and move/remove them, via the housing editor.

I think it's very unlikely that you can.

Pretty sure the Limited Visitor setting prevents people turning off fountains and things (including furnishing switches), as well as lights; but, I doubt it prevents people flipping integral switches.

I doubt it's a bug - I would guess it's working as intended (for better, or worse!).

The arena is a Manor, so it will have a Traditional Furnishings limit of 350; or 700, with ESO+.

When people talk about "the furnishing limit", they are referring to the "Traditional Furnishings" category.

As you can then add trophies and statuettes and things, over and above that limit; because they fall under the separate category of "Collectible Furnishings".

Then, in a separate category again ("Special Collectibles"), you have pets, mounts and NPCs (i.e. Vendor, Banker, Fence), which you can only have up to 10 of with ESO+ and (I assume) only up to 5 of without it.

You can check these categories out, and how many items you have placed in them, in a window on the left hand side of the housing editor, which should appear when you hit the key that allows you to Browse items to place.

Awesome info, THANKS so much for the replies @Tigerseye !

    Appreciate it yep , /tiphat

(And yeah, i agree about the whole 'levers' thing ... it must be working-as-intended. So i guess i'll just have to convince/control people from not abusing them too much during Events or whatever B)

    No problem.

There should probably be another setting where you can prevent people from using integral items or, alternatively, Limited Visitor should include certain integral items, like switches.

There aren't doors at the arena, so preventing people using integral items shouldn't be an issue there.

Which now has me wondering whether they did, originally, intend to include the switches/integral items in Limited Visitor there (hence the lack of doors) and it just wasn't implemented properly?

Maybe put in a ticket, anyway?

Just in case it was an oversight and/or could be changed.
