I think key was doing events you wanted. For me avoided PvE quests completely and lesuirely did others. Going hard on last week though.

Oh I have a couple! I grinned like an idiot every time I pulled 20 Columbine, and I was really happy to get 2 Huntsman motifs, it's a start on the set for me. And I got perfect roe, rosin, tempering alloy...lots of goodies that made the drudgery of doing writs on 11 characters of my 15 worth it.

Huntsman one was a bug that they never fixed. It wasn't supposed to drop according to news article.

Aetheric Cipher dropped today.
I play 99% of time with one character only and wasn't bothered with grinding boxes. So I did daily crafting writs and found it inside one of the boxes.

Another moment is that I found (among hundreds of items on my bank characters) an unbound Briarheart dagger from really old times. Haven't sold it yet, but infused trait is an expensive one!

Honestly, PvP week was the most fun. I got to see a bunch of player interactions across 5 towns and a half dozen campaigns. Everything from ignoring an enemy player with his Twilight out because we were all just there to turn in quests, even so the random zaps didn't block interactions, to four players griefing in the barracks in Vlas. It was all interesting, especially seeing how different players reacted.

Also how rich I am afterwards. I did put a lot of gold back into trader bids. Felt more cutthroat these past weeks.

I got smart this time around and bought $200K worth of mats a couple of weeks before the event started. I've run all of the crafting writs on 7 toons each day and haven't had to either farm or pay exorbitant guild prices at all. I still have a couple of K left of each mat too.

The only stuff I've had to buy a little of is style mats. I have so much of everything else stockpiled. I sent some stuff to my alt account from my main even. Good thing the crafting bag is like the Bag of Holding.... or maybe the Black Hole of Calcutta....
