Training Dummies for Tanks and Healers

Right now all we have are dummies for dps to practice their parsing. It would be awesome if we were able to get dummies for tanks and healers.

Maybe we could just have a dummy that, every few seconds, does an attack? That way a tank can practice applying their debuffs and buffs while still learning watch the boss and time blocks. And one of those attacks could be a one-shot (or high damage) channel attack that needs to be interrupted. That would be a way to teach some tank fundamentals.

Or for healers, the dummy could apply some kind of purgeable / out-healable DoT, or you could have the heal a few moving targets to simulate what a dungeon run is like.

This may be too complicated for a simple dummy, but it'd be great it we could get more support for teaching the fundamentals of tanking and healing.

I've seen this recommendation in quite a few threads, and each time I agree.

It would be nice, even it if was in the Crown Store (as it would take development hours to implement and that time is not free).

I'd love to have a pet monster in my backyard to spar with.

healing test dummy seems a bit harder but you could combine with a dummy that fights back and an ally to test.

We do have some options in game already that allow healers to practice. Those damage dealing plant furnishings that Zos released with Murkmire are perfect for that. I have a healer's "gauntlet", where I'd placed those plants in an overlapping semi-circle around a 6m target dummy. A player stands in the center, in front of the dummy to parse, while a healer keeps them alive and debuffs the plant's (poison, shock, and physical) effects. The shock plant also saps resources, so the healer can practice keeping up their resource restoring duties as well.

With the introduction of the new dueling arena home, I hope to expand on this even more, and plan to try to replicate some dungeon conditions using these items to set up a more realistic group raid parse scenario, so players get an idea of how much damage they're actually putting out while working around mechanics. I know you guys on PC have Combat Metrics, so this all probably sounds super ridiculous to you, but on console, we have to be a bit creative.

Does nobody have any idea what "parsing" means? Did some ESO DPS fanatics just redefine the word and everyone just went along with it?

This is pointless, majority of bosses have their own pattern. And you may go pug random vet any moment and train as much as you like.

Yea, I actually think it’s a bad idea. The focus of healing in the game is support, so whoever has the most synergies and unique buffs is the best healer.

If we could count hps people would just get hps envy when it really isn’t important.

If you want to know the best hps rotation, just spam healing springs.

Looking for any guildies I used to play with:
    Havoc Warhammer - Alair
LoC EQ2 - Mayi and Iskiab
PRX and Tabula Rasa - Rift - Iskiab
Or anyone else I used to play games with in guilds I’ve forgotten
