Beginning of the end. Eso will now just be milked, no more improvements. Rip
Also what a *** joke. That article has the audacity to say the eso devs have been improving this game? This game has been degrading with a plethora of bugs and god awful server lag.
Absolutely laughable they even think it’s been “successful” when the performance has been anything but.

A bit melodramatic? ESO has a strong community and atm a strong revenue stream. Unless that changes there are no concerns the game will be abandoned.

Ease up on the doom and gloom

Information about this first came out in October. Can't wait to see what the new IP will be. And no, ESO will nto be dying, it won't be "milked", it will still see plenty of new content and updates.

Agree with above posters. ESO is in good shape. I expect many more years of enjoyment playing it.

Yes, remember the end of having to have a sub to play.

During beta, there was a very vocal group of self proclaimed "hardcore mmo players" that effectively pronounced the game dead on arrival if ZOS didn't meet their demands.

I haven't seen any of them around for at least two or three years now, but last time i checked (yesterday) ESO was still alive and kicking ...

The game has been successful in sales and making money i'm sure, the performance in game for many is far from it.

ESO on the whole is probably doing fine - especially if you like PVE questing or PVE dungeons.

If you like Cyrodiil AvAvA PVP, on the other hand...

The continuing lag, lack of bug fixes, and recurring glitches is steadily crippling Cyrodiil. Its draining the will of dedicated players who love PVP to keep playing. Because we love PVP...when it works. And it doesnt work that well, anymore.

Its hard to look back even two years ago to the pre-Morrowind campaigns and argue that PVP in Cyrodiil hasn't gotten worse with time.

All this doom and gloom over an unannounced game that we don't even know if it will be another MMO or not.
