Actually all I'm eagerly waiting for is Grandma Shirley's next ESO video. Don't really care about people who make judgements on a stream.

On the other hand Grandma is sooooo cute and sweet I never thought I'd have so much fun watching someone fight one single mob, going through her inventory or being dazzled by the scenary.

I don't get the reactions to Asmon's ESO stream here.

He was practically angelic and GLOWING compared to his normal streams! I was expecting him to *** on everything. If anything, the embarrassing ESO players who stream-sniped and bothered him were way more toxic.

As for Shroud, even though he makes ESO look as unappealing as possible (low graphics settings, boring power-leveling, hating all quests) - even Alcast mentioned his weaving made him better than most of the people currently running dungeons for years.

I watched Asmongold go through the starting area. It was ok, I’m glad he tried it. Now he can move on or stay or whatever, it always kinda bothers me when people won’t at least try something different.

Shroud play this game? I am not sure he was that good, c9 won the major after shroud left. If anything, stew and automatic were the heavy hitters.

he kinda did; rewatch him opening a chest for the first time and his reactions to the low level gear he kept getting lol.

Though he legit got excited for a wolf mount gifted to him lol.

So Asmongold finally decided to try ESO did he? I know a while back he said he would but then changed his mind. I may have seen him, was he in Vvardenfell? There was a group of players I ran into that seemed to be following someone but I was busy with dailies so didn't pay much attention and moved on. He usually doesn't stick with a new game for long though, he has it too easy in WoW with everyone carrying him and giving him everything.

I think these streamers trying ESO is a good thing. Even if they don't stick with it there is no telling how many of their followers may try the game because of them, like it, and decide to stay.

That'd be like Deltia, Alcast and Sypher going over to WoW.....noone would care who they were. Not that many care who they are here to be fair, except maybe Alcast

Half correct. No one from the game they transferred to would care. But a portion of the group of people who regularly watch them will definitely still watch them play different content.

No-one would care because no-one hardly ever watch them beside some ESO fans. Apart from Sypher who gained more followers and subscribers since he started playing Fortnite.

    Nah man.

Nixxiom has by far the smallest following of the three on Twitch and he's still bigger than Alcast or Fengrush.

Asmongold has 10 times as many followers as Fengrush (who is AFAIK the "biggest" ESO streamer).

Shroud has 100 times as many followers.

I spent some time in Shroud's stream over the weekend while he was playing ESO and he had 25,000+ viewers in-stream. That's a lot of new eyeballs getting introduced to the game, which is particularly nice with Shroud because he really seems to be enjoying himself.

Shroud play this game? I am not sure he was that good, c9 won the major after shroud left. If anything, stew and automatic were the heavy hitters.

He WAS that good, he was splitting his time between practicing and streaming so he never put in 100% effort to win. He was mechanically one of the most gifted players to compete, he is one of the few players with godly aim combined with amazing game sense. He was often beat in his latter days on C9 because other teams studied C9's strats, but he never did the same, he just wanted to stream.

Stewie is just a more aggressive player, so he often gambles with trying to make big plays, which sometimes works out for him and gets him easy 3k's, but other times he is too aggressive and the other team expects him to push a smoke and waits for him.

Shroud was usually site anchor, and could essentially 1vx a site by himself with very little help, often getting 1-2 frags before his team could rotate and help or trade him out. There are very few FPS games that he can pick up, and after a week or two is instantly already better than 99% of the entire player base.

No offense, but Asmongold is much bigger than those 3 combined, and Shroud is bigger than Asmongold. It would be foolish to ignore streamers and youtubers in nixxiom's case, that can potentially bring thousands of players to ESO. Not to mention the much needed media exposure.

I watched that Asmon guy make a character and go into the Vvardenfell tutorial, it was so painful. As soon as he left Naryu and saw a player he tried to run up and punch the guy, confused as to why it wasnt doing anything. He also mistook another player as an NPC and while fiddling with the interact wheel, accidentally accepted a group invite then played the rest of the video in a group.

WoW players thinking ESO is like WoW.

Thata cute. Care to elaborate further on the fact that by the 5th hour of playing, the guy understood light attack weaving and eductated practical morph selections? Dude is a living meme and he puts that show on for his audience, but hes not an idiot and fully realizes its not wow.

If they are pvp players they will leave really fast when they see the bad performance.

For pve players there are better chances that they stay. Only problem is that there is almost no challenging content players will see till they reach hm dlc dungeons and they may leave before that. And even that hard content can seem really easy if some grp will carry them.

Asmongold has 21k viewers right now. Sypher usually has around 4k. Can't compare them.

    30k viewers now.

No actually didnt *** on anything. He commented on the visual design, voice work and quest design being very good and appreciated the open nature of early leveing. And said numerous times the early level combat felt bland but hopes that is not the case in end game. Ultimatley his first impression of the game was a postivie one despite his expectations.

They will all drop ESO as soon as Vanilla WoW comes out, shroud has said he will, Asmongold will for sure. I just hope they showcase the *** show that PvP in this game is to the thousands of viewers they get before they inevitably leave this trashy ass game :)

Vanilla WoW could be in Summer or even later this year, and until then ESO will appear in the Top 10 games on Twitch. But I agree that exposure of ESO's performance might actually get something changed. Maybe even for the better.

They won't change a thing, even with heightened exposure through big time streamers.

You may be right, but I don't want to believe it. They can't just take money from players and let performance deteriorate, especially when numbers are increasing considerably. They also have to think about their next game (which more or less has been confirmed now), and the reputation the studio gets from a great game with poor performance.

They cant? They have been doing that exact thing for the last 2 years. Maybe even longer. With literal silence from the devs. No information about performance. While so many of us on console legit cannot play in vivec, and shor is dead except for prime time so we are left with nothing. Its shameful.

I dont want to believe it either but from looking at zos' actions and lack of any communication it seems iike they arre out of touch with theeir game, dont care about their players, dont care about their pvp players, and certainly dont care about console players. And it also seems like they cant fix anything. I've been hoping im wrong for years.

    Every. Single. Word.

Asmongold is genuinely a good person. His personal videos are more thoughtful and down to earth. He has his personality on stream, but it's for entertainment (whether you love or hate it). Nixxiom is overall a joy to watch. He's funny and puts a ton of effort into his content. I think they will do good for the community, but of course you'll have some bad eggs in the bunch. I mean.. If I hop into PvP or a random Pug trial I can easily find someone who's a pain.
