I had enough crowns to get one, so I picked up thinking it would be account-wide. After all, I've got 15 characters on the PS4 NA server. Buying an outit upgrade for each one would unthinkable, But not so. The upgrade was for a single character.
That's ridiculous. With 15 characters and 10 sliots available to each, that would 150 slot upgrades.
Appears to be a money grab.

✭✭✭✭✭I only buy them with gold from crown sellers when they're on sale. As a roleplayer it's really handy to alternate looks without the cost at the outfit station. I too wish they were account wide, but they do serve their purpose, just not as customer friendly as they should be.Grand Master Crafter, Beta baby who grew with the game. ✭✭I haven't bought any. Half my characters wear a costume all the time, and the others have one outfit (the free one) that they may adjust from time to time, if we get a new style that's preferred.
It is worth noting that nobody is showing the underlying equipment, and it's all either costume or outfit. What I'd really like is to mix and match the costume pieces into the outfit system.0 -

..! Without that nearly no one would have bought those at all 
..!
